Abstract:
The invention discloses a sensor docking unit (1), a rehabilitation system and a method for attaching and removing at least one sensor or marker (2a) onto/from a user s limb(s) the sensor docking unit (1) comprising a guiding portion (4), a limb localization unit(5) comprising at least one detecting means (6) to determine if an insertion of the user s limb (3) into a pre-specified position within the sensor docking unit(1) has been completed correctly and a sensor or marker mounting means (7) including at least one sensor or marker entity (2) to enable an at least semi-automatic attachment and/or removal of the at least one sensor or marker (2a) to/from the user s limb (3) in a reproducible manner. The sensor or marker mounting means (7) is activatable to start with an attachment and/or removal of the at least one sensor or marker (2a) when a correct insertion of the user s limb (3) has been determined by the limb localization unit (5).
Abstract:
A method for determining a viewing configuration of a rendered figure of a rehab-patient or a sports trainee, aiming to deliver a suitable view on the rendered figure, the method comprising the steps of capturing motion data in the 3D space of one or more body parts of the rehab-patientor the sports trainee and providing them to a computer; and further the step of performing on the computer measurements of deviation of the captured motion data from a reference list of motion data and/or measurements of main motion direction; and based on the results of the above measurements, determining the viewing configuration.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a training device (10) for patients with physical disabilities. It can be moved on a surface (12) and has a dedicated drive. Moreover, it is equipped with a support shell, on which an extremity (11) of the patient can be at least partially placed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic sensor position recognition system comprising: a position recognition unit (1) located at pre-determined positions on a person's body and bearing a unique identification; - a sensor (2) bearing a unique identification; a communication unit (3) assigned to the sensor and being in communication with the position recognition unit (1) and the sensor (2); a data processing unit (4) in communication with the communication unit; and a database (5) being in communication with the data processing system (4) and comprising the correlation of the unique identification of the position recognition unit (1) and the pre-determined position of the position recognition unit (1). The system according to the invention provides an automatic association between sensors and body segments as well as means to obtain these associations. As a result, no human interaction is required any more to assign a body segment to a sensor. Thus, assignment errors can be prevented and the patient is not burdened any more with attaching a particular sensor to a specific body segment and can concentrate more on the exercises he is supposed to undertake.
Abstract:
System for analyzing physical exercise data The present invention concerns a system for analyzing physical exercise data, comprising: a database (1) comprising exercise data clips - an application (2) to access the exercise data clips and to annotate the exercise data clips according to pre-determined criteria a database (4) comprising schedule rules assigned to individual persons a scheduling application (6) to retrieve schedule rules and to select and arrange the annotated exercise data clips according to schedule rules - a playback system (7) to display the exercise data clips in the order as determined by the scheduling application (6).
Abstract:
A sensor arrangement for home rehabilitation in particular after a stroke comprising at least two sensors. The sensors are attached to the user´s body. Each sensor includes - a receiver for receiving a first signal being generated from a source outside the sensor 10 arrangement - a sensor processing unit processing the first signal and initializing a second signal upon reception of the first signal, the second signal including information regarding the identity of the sensor - a transmitter for transmitting the second signal to a central processing unit. 15 On receipt of the first and/or the second signal a time stamp is generated for each sensor for a determination of the location of each sensor relative to a source of the first signal trough comparison of the different time stamps.
