Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method, and a program for remotely interacting with a diagnostic interface resident on wireless computer devices.SOLUTION: The wireless device provides an accessible diagnostic interface that allows reads and/or writes to device resident diagnostic data and tools. Through use of the interaction, wireless device status data and network status data can be gathered and utilized. The diagnostic tools resident on the wireless devices can be manipulated to alter wireless device operation.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved mobile phone having an embedded battery. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 10 includes an outer casing 14 with opposite upper and lower walls 18. One of the walls includes an opening for access to the interior of the casing, and a lid 28 is mounted in the opening for normally closing the opening. A main circuit board is mounted in the casing and a plurality of phone components are mounted on the circuit board. A predetermined region 26 of the board aligned with the opening is left as an exposed or empty part of components, and forms a recess for receiving a battery 12. The battery receiving recess 26 includes contact pads 39 and 40, and the battery 12 removably engages with the recess with battery contacts engaging the contact pads in the recess, whereby the battery is removed and replaced after opening the lid. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method, and computer program for collecting end-user opinions of applications and data in a wireless communications network. SOLUTION: A server 112 identifies an end-user who has purchased products and has downloaded software applications and/or data to a wireless device 106, and after the end-user has used the products for a prescribed period, collects opinion data through proactively sending out questionnaires and surveys to the user. The questionnaires and surveys are dispatched back to the server 112 after the user has filled them out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for optimizing an active wireless network. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a system 10 for optimizing a wireless network 14 having at least data communication between computer devices 12, 18, 20, 22 selectively connected thereto. At least one of the computer devices 12, 18, 20, 22 is a remotely located wireless device. The wireless device 12, 18, 20, 22 has a resident network optimization application that causes the selective transmission of network status data to at least one other computer device on the wireless network 14. Then, either the data-receiving computer devices 12, 18, 20, 22 or another computer devices 12, 18, 20, 22 on the wireless network 14 optimizes the wireless network 14 on the basis of the received network status data. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for accommodating two or more batteries inside an electronic device. SOLUTION: The system includes first mechanisms (16, 18) and the first mechanisms 16, 18 determine the charge state of a first battery (12) and a second battery (14) and provides a state signal, in response thereto. A second mechanism (18, 32, 46) provides an indication of the remaining battery service life, associated with the first battery (12) and/or the second battery (14), based on the state signal. The system further includes a third mechanism (36) for selectively employing the first battery (12) or the second battery (14) as a power source for the electronic device (10), based on the state signal of the third mechanism 36.
