PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimum delivery of a multicast content using probabilistic feedback. SOLUTION: This method is provided for transmitting data from a server to a plurality of receiving terminals. The method includes transmitting the data from the server to the plurality of receiving terminals, and generating a random response value at each receiving terminal. The method also includes comparing the response value to an acknowledgement value at each receiving terminal, and transmitting an acknowledgment signal to the server from selected receiving terminals. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of using a probabilistic feedback to optimize a distribution of a multicast content about the content distribution, within a network environment. SOLUTION: The method is provided for transmitting data from a server to a plurality of receiving terminals. The method includes the processes of transmitting the data from the server to the plurality of the receiving terminals and generating a random response value by each receiving terminal. The method, further, includes a processing of comparing the response value with acknowledged value by each receiving terminal, and to transmit an acknowledgment signal from the selected receiving terminal to the server. The selected receiving terminal is a part of the plurality of the receiving terminals in which the response value has a selected relation with respect to the acknowledged value. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for cutting waiting time of end-to-end media communication.SOLUTION: A method and a device for suppressing silence frames in a stream of media include receiving a stream of media from a user and suppressing at least one silence frame from the received stream of media. The suppressed silence frame includes an initial silence frame situated before a first media frame and/or a silence frame situated between two successive media frames.

Abstract:
To avoid lost packets that could otherwise occur were a round robin scheduling policy to be used to assign PPP packet fragments to multiple communication links, the links are assigned tokens based on their capacities, with a fragment being assigned to the link with the most tokens. When a fragment is scheduled to a link, the tokens of the link are decremented accordingly. The tokens are periodically refreshed.
