    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for sharing a user equipment (UE)-initiated channel occupancy time (COT) with a base station (BS) by transmitting receiver-side assistance information on an uplink shared channel of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. In some aspects, the UE may perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) prior to an uplink transmit opportunity, and if the CCA is successful, transmit the receiver-side assistance information on the uplink shared channel to share the COT with a BS. Multiple uplink transmit opportunities may be indicated to the UE send the receiver-side assistance information. In some examples, the uplink transmit opportunities may be configured grant occasions for a configured grant or scheduled by downlink control information. By transmitting to the BS, the UE may share the COT with the BS, and the BS may send downlink data to the UE during the COT.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE) may support channel state information (CSI) operations, such as CSI reporting. A UE may identify a change in CSI pertaining to communications with a base station or any other change in communications with a base station. The UE may transmit, to the base station and based on the change in CSI, a CSI scheduling request, which may include an indication to activate or grant resources for a CSI report transmission from the UE to the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station, a CSI report trigger based on the CSI scheduling request, and transmit, in response to receipt of the CSI report trigger, a CSI report over a physical layer uplink channel (e.g., a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)).

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for selecting a beam to be allocated for transmitting downlink (DL) data to user equipment (UE). In some implementations, a UE receives a reference signal on each of a number of beams associated with a base station, and determines a delay spread value for each beam. The UE identifies each beam for which the determined channel delay spread value is less than a threshold value, and determines a reference signal received power (RSRP) level for each identified beam. The UE transmits an indication of the determined RSRP levels of the identified beams to the base station, and receives, in response to the transmitted indication, a selection of the beam to be allocated for DL transmissions to the UE. In some other implementations, a UE receives a reference signal on each of a number of beams associated with a base station, and determines a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) value for each beam of the number of beams. The UE transmits an indication of the determined SINR values to the base station, and receives, in response to the transmitted indication, a selection of one beam of the number of beams to be allocated for downlink (DL) transmissions to the UE, wherein the selection of the one beam is based at least in part on the determined SINR values.
