Abstract: A method for inhibiting jammed signal use includes: receiving a desired signal wirelessly at a receiver; receiving an undesired signal wirelessly at the receiver, the undesired signal varying in strength over time; and inhibiting measurement of the desired signal, or use of a measurement of the desired signal, based on a determination that the undesired signal is a jamming signal based on a variation of the undesired signal being indicative of jamming.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for managing concurrent reception of satellite position signals and transmission of wireless network signals. In some embodiments, a measurement engine is configured to generate measurements based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals received by a GNSS wireless receiver, including a first measurement based on a first GNSS signal. A determination is made as to whether a wireless transmitter is active in a first frequency band when the GNSS wireless receiver receives the first GNSS signal, where the first frequency band is a frequency band of the first GNSS signal. In response to a determination that the wireless transmitter is active in the first frequency band when the GNSS wireless receiver receives the first GNSS signal, a position calculation operation and/or a clock bias calculation operation can be performed using measurements other than the first measurement.

Abstract: A method of processing a satellite signal includes: receiving a satellite positioning system (SPS) signal, including an SPS data signal of unknown data content, from a satellite at a wireless communication device; receiving symbol indications, of determined symbol values, from a terrestrial wireless communication system at the wireless communication device; correlating the SPS data signal with a pseudo-random noise code to obtain first correlation results; and using the symbol indications and the first correlation results to determine a measurement of the SPS signal.

Abstract: A mobile device may be configured to perform concurrent Satellite Positioning System (SPS) operation and wireless communications when uplink signals transmitted by the mobile device interferes with the reception of SPS signals in one or more frequency bands. The mobile device may determine if the SPS receiver has already acquired SPS signals and is in a tracking state. If the SPS receiver is not in a tracking state, an SPS acquisition procedure is initiated before the wireless communication session is initiated. The SPS acquisition procedure is performed until the SPS receiver reaches a tracking state, or until a timeout is reached. Once the SPS receiver is in a tracking state, the wireless communication session may be initiated, during which the SPS receiver is controlled, e.g., to perform signal blanking, measurement exclusion, or disable SPS reception, to mitigate interference with SPS signals.

Abstract: A mobile device may be configured to improve measurement of carrier phase (CP) in received satellite signals for satellite positioning system (SPS) operations. For example, this may enable an SPS receiver to measure CP of at least a first positioning signal and a second positioning signal each received from the same satellite vehicle. A corrected CP of the first positioning signal may be estimated based on the measured CP of the first positioning signal and on the measured CP of the second positioning signal.

An example method for determining a range to a satellite vehicle with a receiver includes receiving a signal from the satellite vehicle, determining one or more notch filter configurations, determining a pseudorandom noise code and a doppler frequency associated with the signal, determining a codephase correction value based at least on the one or more notch filter configurations, the pseudorandom noise code and the doppler frequency, and computing the range to the satellite vehicle based at least in part on the signal and the codephase correction value.
