Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support cross-carrier sidelink resource reservation, a user equipment (UE) may transmit sidelink control signaling in a carrier in a licensed frequency spectrum band (e.g., a licensed carrier) that reserves one or more sidelink resources of a carrier in an unlicensed frequency spectrum band (e.g., an unlicensed carrier) for transmission of sidelink data. For example, the UE may determine the one or more sidelink resources for transmission of the sidelink data in the unlicensed carrier and may transmit the sidelink control signaling in the licensed carrier to reserve the one or more sidelink resources. The UE may then transmit the sidelink data in the one or more sidelink resources of the unlicensed carrier. In some examples, the UE may perform a channel access procedure before transmitting the sidelink data and may transmit the sidelink data based on the channel access procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may determine a transmit diversity configuration indicating a transmit diversity criterion for declaring a result of a channel access procedure for a plurality of component carriers in a shared radio frequency spectrum band. The UE may perform the channel access procedure for the plurality of component carriers in the shared radio frequency spectrum band to determine the result of the channel access procedure based at least in part on the transmit diversity criterion. As a result, the UE may transmit or refrain from transmitting a message over at least one component carrier of the plurality of component carriers based at least in part on the result of the channel access procedure.

Abstract: Techniques for cross channel occupancy time (COT) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback transmission for sidelink communication in unlicensed spectrum may be performed. In an example, a receiving user equipment (UE) may receive, from a transmitting UE, a first transmission in a first channel occupancy time (COT). The receiving UE may also determine a first feedback occasion is after a last slot of the first COT. The receiving UE may also determine one or more feedback configurations. The receiving UE may also transmit, to the transmitting UE, a feedback message indicating decoding of the first transmission in the first feedback occasion or a second feedback occasion based on the one or more feedback configurations.

A user equipment (UE) may determine resource selection priority levels associated with available resources for sidelink signaling in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, the resources selection priority levels may be determined based on resource reservation information of the available resources, a time domain location of the available resources, or both. For example, a first resource of the available resources may be associated with a higher priority than a second resource of the available resources in resource selection. The UE may select one or more resources for the sidelink signaling from the available resources based on the resource selection priority levels associated with the available resources. The UE may transmit the sidelink signaling on the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band using the one or more selected resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may support superimposed NR and LTE transmissions using an antenna port, in conjunction with an LTE-aware, NR slot structure (e.g., an NR V2X slot structure). In some aspects, the slot structure may protect portions of the LTE signal from interference, increasing LTE decoder robustness to interference which may provide opportunities for increasing the NR signal power. The UE may transmit a superimposed transmission of an LTE signal and an NR signal from a same antenna port in a same radio frequency resource. In some aspects, the slot structure may be modified so that the UE does not transmit when LTE reference signals are transmitted, so as to avoid interference with the LTE reference signals. A receiving UE may use the LTE reference signals to demodulate the LTE signal and the NR signal from the common time and frequency resources.
