Abstract:
A magnetic flowmeter flowtube assembly (100) includes a conduit having a first end with a first flange (122) and a second end with a second flange. A fluoropolymer liner (42) is disposed within and extending through the first flange (122), the conduit (16) and the second flange (24). A first lining protector (124) is mounted to the first flange (122) and a second lining protector (124) is mounted to the second flange. A first spring-energized seal (140) is disposed between the first lining protector (124) and the fluoropolymer liner (42). A second spring-energized seal (140) is disposed between the second lining protector and the fluoropolymer liner (42).
Abstract:
A magnetic flowmeter flowtube assembly (12, 100) includes a conduit (16) with a first end (18) and a second end (20). A first neck flange (22) is coupled to the first end (18) of the conduit (16) and has an inside diameter (129) with a first notch (128) extending radially outwardly therefrom. A second neck flange (24,124) is coupled to the second end (20) and has an inside diameter (129) with a second notch (128) extending radially outwardly therefrom. A fluoropolymer liner (42) is disposed within and extends through the first neck flange (22), the conduit (16) and the second neck flange (24, 124). A pair of electrodes is mounted relative to the liner (42) to measure a voltage induced within a process fluid flowing through the liner (42). A first spring-energized seal ring (140) is disposed in the first notch (128) and a second spring-energized seal ring (140) disposed in the second notch (128). A method (150) of sealing a magnetic flowmeter having a fluoropolymer liner is also provided.
