Abstract:
A magnetic flowmeter flowtube assembly (12, 100) includes a conduit (16) with a first end (18) and a second end (20). A first neck flange (22) is coupled to the first end (18) of the conduit (16) and has an inside diameter (129) with a first notch (128) extending radially outwardly therefrom. A second neck flange (24,124) is coupled to the second end (20) and has an inside diameter (129) with a second notch (128) extending radially outwardly therefrom. A fluoropolymer liner (42) is disposed within and extends through the first neck flange (22), the conduit (16) and the second neck flange (24, 124). A pair of electrodes is mounted relative to the liner (42) to measure a voltage induced within a process fluid flowing through the liner (42). A first spring-energized seal ring (140) is disposed in the first notch (128) and a second spring-energized seal ring (140) disposed in the second notch (128). A method (150) of sealing a magnetic flowmeter having a fluoropolymer liner is also provided.
Abstract:
A terminal feedthrough (100) is provided. The terminal feedthrough (100) includes a terminal pin insert (102) having a pair of ends. A polymeric body (106) having an externally threaded region (108) is disposed about the terminal pin insert (102) to form an interface (132) with the terminal pin insert (102). At least one of threads of the externally threaded region (108) and a cylindrical pin interface (132) is configured to provide a flame-quenching pathway.
