    Abstract: The invention concerns an electromagnetic actuator designed to move an external member (2), comprising a fixed stator element (12) associated with a mobile polar element (14) capable of being made integral with the external member (2), the fixed stator element (12) and the mobile polar element (14) forming a magnetic circuit and defining between them at least two air gaps (51), a magnet (5) promoting the generation of magnetic field lines in the magnetic circuit, a coil (6) and means powering the coil to control by electromagnetic induction phenomena the displacement of the mobile adjusting polar element (15). It further comprises a polar adjusting element (15) to place the mobile polar element (14) in an adjusted position relative to that of the fixed stator element (12), by deviating the magnetic field lines. The invention is particularly applicable to accelerometers.
