    Abstract: A casing (25) and a nozzle plate (27) form a hollow cavity in which ink liquid can be filled. A buckling structure body (21) is disposed within this hollow cavity. A nozzle orifice (27a) is provided in a nozzle plate (27) at a position corresponding to the buckling structure body (21). The buckling structure body (21) has a portion extending in a longitudinal direction (in the direction of arrow D2). Both ends of the buckling structure body (21) in the longitudinal direction are fixedly attached to the casing (25) via an insulative member (23). The buckling structure body (21) is formed of a material that is displaced at least in the longitudinal direction by conduction of current from a power source (29). Thus, an ink jet head of a long lifetime is provided that can provide a great discharge force while maintaining its small dimension.

    Abstract: A cartridge provided with a case for housing an optical disk so that it can be driven and rotated. A recessed section is formed around the peripheral edge of the center hole of the optical disk. A hub, which is used for clamping the optical disk by the use of a magnetic force, is formed into a hat-shape, and it is placed at the recessed section. The height of the hub is set to be greater than the gap between the optical disk and the cartridge case. Without the necessity of fixing the hub to the disk, this arrangement makes it possible to prevent the hub from coming off from the recessed section. Thus, the arrangement eliminates the fixing process between the hub and the optical disk as well as maintaining the clamping function of the hub, thereby making it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost.

It is also able to manufacture a high quality crystal sheet by performing the sheet producing operation without influence of a shock accompanied with the peeling operation and without an irregularity of the melt surface.
