An electric vehicle and a wireless charging system (1000) for the electric vehicle are provided. The wireless charging system (1000) includes: an electric energy providing device (100) connected with a charging station and configured to transmit an identification signal; an electric energy receiving device (200) disposed in the electric vehicle and configured to detect whether there is an identification signal in a nearby area and to send a charging request when there is an identification signal in the nearby area; and a battery manager (300) disposed in the electric vehicle and configured to receive the charging request, to control the electric energy receiving device (200) to enter a wireless charging procedure when a power battery (402) of the electric vehicle satisfies a predetermined charging condition, to obtain battery information of the power battery (402) and to send the battery information to the electric energy receiving device (200).
