Abstract: The invention relates to a rolling bearing including at least two bearing rings (10, 12) and one set of rolling elements arranged in a space between the bearing rings (10, 12), wherein said space between the bearing rings (10, 12) is filled with grease (16), wherein at least one of the bearing rings (10, 12) and/or the rolling elements (14) is made of steel. It is proposed to provide the bearing with at least one electrode (18) made from a non-ferrous material, wherein at least one surface of said electrode (18) is in contact with the grease (16). A negative bias voltage is applied to the electrode (18) and the resultant current flowing between a bearing ring (12) and the electrode (18) is measured. The measured current flow can be used to detect corrosion within the rolling bearing and/or moisture within the grease.
