    Abstract: A color cathode-ray tube where an electron beam selection mask with an aperture grille type beam selection electrode of a thin metal plate attached to a frame is supported by engagement of stud pins with support springs and is thereby positioned stably opposite to a color luminescent screen formed on the inner surface of a panel. A projection is formed on either the top of each stud pin or the bottom of each cap opposed thereto, while a recess is formed in the other for engagement with the projection in the direction orthogonal to the action of the support spring. The mutual contact portions of such projection and recess are coated with solid lubricant films so that the beam selection mask can be reset at its proper position despite any external impact applied thereto. The elasticity constant of the frame is selectively set at a desired value with additional disposition of reinforcing plates having the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the frame, thereby averting vibration of the beam selection mask. And rotary mechanisms are formed relative to the support springs and are rotated in accordance with thermal expansion of the frame, so that the frame is shifted toward the panel surface having a color luminescent screen thereon, whereby mislanding of the electron beam due to temperature rise in the beam selection mask can be prevented.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dislocation of colors caused by the impact during the conveying of a color cathode-ray tube by forming two welding points on one edge part of a supporting spring in a direction perpendicular to a tube axial direction of the color cathode ray tube, as welding points to a frame, and further forming the other welding point which matches with one of the welding points in the tube axial direction. SOLUTION: This supporting spring 9 consists of two welding points 9a, 9a formed in a direction perpendicular to a tube axial direction of a color cathode-ray tube, and further a new welding point 9b which matches with one of the welding points 9a, 9a in the tube axial direction, is added. That is, the welding of the supporting spring 9 to a spring holder 11 are performed on the three welding points 9a, 9a, 9b. Thereby in a color selection mechanism, the load in a direction perpendicular to the tube axial direction of the color cathode ray tube, is supported by the welding points 9a, 9a, and the load in the tube axial direction of the color cathode-ray tube 1 is supported by two welding points, that is, one of the welding points 9a, 9a, and the welding points 9b.

These stoppers 26 are made projecting one brim upward from the upper surface of the upper side brim 4A, or downward from the lower surface of the lower side brim 4B at a height H respectively, and opposed to the free ends of springs 16 responding to the side brims of the bent free ends, placing an interval D to the opposite surfaces of the brims 4A and 4B where the springs 16 are installed. The interval D is a distance at a level to avoid a striking of the frame 4 to the panel 1 and to about the frame 4 to the panel 1 at a specific deformation amount, when the springs 16 are bent and deformed in the direction Y along the axial direction of the support pins 15 at the free ends where the springs 16 are geared with the pins 15.
