    Abstract: A system for compensating for mislanding of electron beams in a color cathode ray tube, which comprises a coil device provided on the color cathode ray tube in addition to a main deflection coil, a circuit for producing a plurality of currents having different wave forms, respectively, and a connecting device for connecting the coil device to selected one of connection points of the circuit so as to supply one or more of the currents produced in the circuit, which has a desired wave form, to said coil device selectively in response to the direction to which the color cathode ray tube faces, thereby to achieve sufficient compensation for mislanding of electron beams caused by the earth's magnetic field regardless of the directional situation of the cathode ray tube.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the inexpensive and simple landing correction method and device. SOLUTION: A landing correction coil 1 is placed to a funnel 11 of a cathode- ray tube 10. A deflection yoke 13 is provided to a neck 12 provided with an electron gun of the cathode-ray tube 10 and a rotation correction coil 2 is installed to the position causing less effect on landing in the vicinity. A rotation correction signal and a landing correction signal from a rotation correction terminal 5 and a landing correction terminal 6 are converted into a drive current by drive circuits 3, 4 respectively and the current is fed to the correction coils 1, 2. Then part of the rotation correction signal from the terminal 5 is fed to an adder 7 provided to a signal path from the terminal 6 at an optional rate. Furthermore, part of the landing correction signal from the terminal 6 is fed to a subtractor 8 provided to a signal path from the terminal 5 at an optional rate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a leaked electric field produced on a front face of a cathode ray tube with simple configuration by supplying a leakage electric field correction signal to an electric field forming electrode. CONSTITUTION:A leakage electric field correction electrode 2 is formed to the inside of an outer frame 4 of a cathode ray tube 3 by providing a lead wire so as to surround a display area of the cathode ray tube 3 and fixed to the outer frame 4 via a prescribed support member. The cathode ray tube 3 is shielded by a shield plate from the vicinity of a bottle neck part to the vicinity of the outer frame thereby reducing spurious radiation to be a prescribed level or below. A deflection circuit 6 generates a drive power supply for the cathode ray tube 3 and drives the cathode ray tube 3 to form a display picture. Furthermore, a pickup section 10 picks up a drive signal for the horizontal deflection yoke 8 thereby supplying the drive signal to the leakage electric field correction electrode 2 to cancel a leakage electric field. Thus, the leakage electric field of the monitor is reduced with simple configuration.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube excellent in color purity by driving correction coils arranged around the cathode ray tube so as to generate an external correction magnetic field to correct beam landing drift and using the generated magnetic field to correct the beam landing drift. SOLUTION: A correction coil 2 is placed respectively to four corners, upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left corners of a funnel in the vicinity of a tube screen of the cathode ray tube 1. The cathode ray tube unit is provided with a beam current detection circuit to calculate an electron beam amount, a timer circuit to measure an elapsed time of the cathode ray tube after application of power thereto, and a landing drift correction signal generating circuit. A beam current is monitored to obtain a state of drift of beam landing onto a fluorescent screen resulting from thermal expansion of color selection electrodes and an elapsed time of the cathode ray tube after application of power thereto is checked and obtained by a timer output voltage, the landing drift is calculated and a correction signal is generated to drive the landing correction coils so as to attain landing drift correction with high accuracy.
