Abstract:
A novel and improved display apparatus and a control method capable of preventing its user from viewing an image in an improper viewing position are provided. Provided is a display apparatus including: an imaging unit that captures a moving image in a predetermined range with respect to an image display direction; an image analyzer that analyzes the moving image captured by the imaging unit, and calculates a position of a target that should be guided to a proper viewing position; and a display controller that causes a display unit to perform display in order to guide the target to the proper viewing position when the target position calculated by the image analyzer is at an improper viewing position.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved novel display device capable of preventing viewing by a child at a position inappropriate for viewing, and to provide a control method.SOLUTION: The display device includes: an imaging part for imaging a moving image within a predetermined range in an image display direction; an image analysis part which analyzes the moving image imaged by the imaging part to determine whether a viewer is a child or an adult and calculates the position of the child if the viewer is determined as a child; and a display control unit for causing, when the position of the child calculated by the image analysis part is inappropriate, a display part to perform displaying for guiding the child to an appropriate viewing position.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved display apparatus capable of optimizing a state of the image display apparatus to a user existing in an arbitrary position, and to provide a control method for the display apparatus. SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes: an image pickup unit for picking up a moving image in a prescribed range in an image display direction; an image analyzing unit for analyzing the moving image picked up by the image pickup unit and calculating a user's position; a system optimization processing unit for calculating system control information for optimizing a system on the basis of the user's position calculated by the image analysis unit; and a system control unit for optimizing the system on the basis of the system control information calculated by the system optimization processing unit. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a control method combining moving object detection and face detection for a user in order to execute power saving control effectively with a proper accuracy. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with: an imager for capturing moving pictures of a predetermined range in an image display direction; a moving object detector for detecting existence/absence of a moving object at the predetermined range in the image display direction; an image analyzer for analyzing the moving pictures captured by the imager to detect existence/absence of a face; and a power controller. The through respectively different patterns according to a plurality of modes established by combining existence/absence of the face detected by the image analyzer and existence/absence of the moving object detected by the moving object detector. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photographing device capable of reducing a processing time.SOLUTION: The photographing device comprises: a photographing part for obtaining a frame image including an object image; and a matching part for changing a size of the object image to change a size ratio of a template image to the object image, and executing pattern-matching between the object image whose size is changed and the template image for each size ratio. The matching part repeats image search for executing pattern-matching while sequentially changing the size ratio, finds the size ratio at which the patterns are matched in the certain-times image search, holds a maximum value of the obtained size ratios as a first size ratio, and thereafter, executes the image search for executing pattern-matching at a first frequency in a range of a size ratio not less than the first size ratio, and executing pattern-matching at a frequency lower than the first frequency in a range of the size ratio lower than the first size ratio.
