There is provided an information processing apparatus including an attribute management unit configured to manage a variable attribute value associated with each one or more characters existing in a real space, a detection unit configured to detect an interaction event between a first character and a real object by using an image captured by a camera that captures the real space, and a setting unit configured to set a rule for changing the attribute value of the first character depending on the interaction event. In a case where the detection unit has detected the interaction event, the attribute management unit changes the attribute value of the first character in accordance with the rule set by the setting unit.

A novel and improved display apparatus and a control method capable of preventing its user from viewing an image in an improper viewing position are provided. Provided is a display apparatus including: an imaging unit that captures a moving image in a predetermined range with respect to an image display direction; an image analyzer that analyzes the moving image captured by the imaging unit, and calculates a position of a target that should be guided to a proper viewing position; and a display controller that causes a display unit to perform display in order to guide the target to the proper viewing position when the target position calculated by the image analyzer is at an improper viewing position.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a UI capable of avoiding, even when a large amount of selectable objects are provided, a reduction in usability resulting from the congestion on a screen.SOLUTION: There is provided an information processing apparatus that includes: an image acquisition unit that acquires an input image; a recognition unit that recognizes an operation body used by a user in the input image; and a control unit that displays, on a screen, an output image corresponding to the input image and has a plurality of objects operated by the user superimposed thereon, and controls display of at least one of the objects on the basis of a recognition result of the operation body. The control unit brings the display positions of the plurality of objects displayed on the screen before the recognition of the operation body, close to one another toward the user after the recognition of the operation body.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate detailed settings according to a subject.SOLUTION: An information processor of one aspect of this technology includes a detection part for detecting a position on an image designated by a user, a recognition part for recognizing a subject appeared in a range including the detected position, a selection part for selecting a plurality of functions for setting about the appearance of the subject in accordance with a recognition result of the subject, and a display control part for displaying icons representing the selected functions by superimposing the icons on the image. The technology is applicable to a device having a photographing function, such as a digital camera, a smart phone, and a tablet terminal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a recording medium, which enable a captured image and an operation target image to be displayed on a display screen while preventing decrease in the visibility of an operation target object.SOLUTION: An information processing device comprises a processing unit which controls a compositing of a captured image and an operation target image to generate an image which is composited to give gesture recognition feedback to a user. The degree of visibility of the captured image in the composited image is changed.
