A battery and an electronic apparatus are disclosed by which it can be discriminated with a simple configuration whether or not the battery is of a thin type. The battery is configured such that a wall portion for discrimination of a battery characteristic which is swollen in a lengthwise direction and connects to a connector section is formed at a location of one of end faces positioned rather near to an end portion in a widthwise direction of a case of the battery.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector device of electronic apparatus capable of strengthening an earth (GND), and shortening connection wiring, improving electric property (removing spurious radiation)and stabilizing communication property, and to provide a mounting method of the same. SOLUTION: The connector device is constituted of a connector 35 having a conductive shell 42 surrounding a plurality of contactors, a printed wiring board 38 on which the connector is fixed, having at least a grounding circuit electrically connected to the shell, and a wiring board holder 41 holding the printed wiring board through an engaging means. Mounting pieces 42a, 42b, made to contact a conductive part of an external case 2, having a first through hole in which a mounting screw of the external case is inserted, are arranged on the shell 42. The connector 35 is enabled to mount on the external case, by screwing and fastening the mounting screw 55 inserted through the second and first insertion holes into which the mounting screw of the external case is to be inserted, in the screw hole of the base board holder 41. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein static electricity, charging a decorative member causes a short-circuit and flows into an apparatus body, then there is the possibility that electrical components, electronic components or the like housed inside an apparatus body may be damaged, when the decorative member apt to be charged by static electricity is attached to the surface of a shoe cover covering an accessory shoe. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus, such as an imaging apparatus, is provided with an accessory shoe 4 to which an accessory device is detachably attached and which is fixed to a case body 2; and a shoe cover 5 that covers the accessory shoe 4. SOLUTION: The pop-up mechanism for the flashing device comprises: the flashing device 9 supported movably between a pop-up position and a housing position; a supporting member 17 for supporting the flashing device 9; a base plate 16 to which the supporting member 17 is attached freely turnably over the pop-up position and the housing position of the flashing device9; a shaft member 22 whose both ends are inserted into the base plate 16 and which journals the supporting member 17 on the base plate 16; the coil spring 30 which is inserted into the shaft member 22, whose one end is locked on the base member 16 and whose the other end is locked on the supporting member 17 to thereby energize the supporting member 17 to the pop-up position of the flashing device 9, and a locking means 19 for locking the supporting member 17 at the housing position of the flashing device 9.
