Abstract: PURPOSE:To switch the shutter speed in plural degrees with simple constitution by providing a tact switch to an image pickup device having a function to vary the shutter speed. CONSTITUTION:The duty ratio of an overflow drain gate clock OFDG outputted from a timing signal generating circuit 11 is switched in response of the depressing of a shutter key (tact switch) 33 based on an instruction from a microcomputer 3. When the duty ratio of the clock OFDG is witched, the charge accumulating time of the photodetection part 22 of the CCD image pickup device 7 varies, to switch the shutter speed. This switching of the shutter speed is achieved by depressing the shutter key 33, therefore, the hardwares can be simplified and miniaturized. In such a way, the shutter speed can be made switchable in plural degrees with simple constitution.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable the titled system to grasp surely a change of the condition of photographing such as a change of a light source due to pass of time by changing the contents to the contents of the 1st memory showing that white balance is not proper when the timer that a video camera isn't used continuously reaches the fixed time.
CONSTITUTION: When the contents of the 1st memory shows that white balance is not proper, the contents of the 2nd memory is changed to the contents which alarm in display that white balance should be adjusted. Information written in the 2nd memory is read when a safety switch 51 is OFF to be provided to a display circuit 80 from the terminal 28 as the control signal LC of an alarm display. When the read contents of the 2nd memory alarms in display that white balance should be adjusted, that is, when control signal LC falls in such as condition as a display device ON, the transistor 81 of the display circuit 80 turn to ON and a luminous diode 82 is lighted on. Thus, white balance of the video camera 10 is to be adjusted is alarmed to display it.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily execute photographing for keeping a size against a picture frame constant with regard to a moving object, by providing a focusing circuit, and a zooming circuit for keeping a size of an object against the picture frame constant even if a distance between a camera and the object is varied due to a movement of the object to be photographed. CONSTITUTION:A focusing circuit 10 rotates a focusing lens barrel 3 by a prescribed angle theta1. This focal distance is determined clearly by a distance (s) to an object 13, and based on the distance (s) to the object 13, a prescribed driving signal is outputted to a motor 8 by a data which has been set in advance so as to be focused. A zooming circuit 9 displaces a position of a zoom lens by rotating a zooming lens barrel 2 by a prescribed angle thetaz in order to make a size of the object 13 constant in a picture frame of a view finder, based on a distance measured by a distance measuring means 12. That is, the focal distance becomes f=beta/beta-1.s. In this way, a focal distance (f) for making a size beta of the object 13 in the picture frame constant is determined clearly from the distance (s) to the object 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify the mechanism and operation of a tape drive system and to improve the accuracy of joints by synchronizing a recording signal system with a control pulse reproduced from a tape in case of joint image pickup.
CONSTITUTION: In case of the video recording mode, a generating circuit 40 generates a vertical synchronizing signal Sv and a horizontal synchronizing signal Sh, they are fed to an image pickup tube 21 and a control pulse CTL having a frequency is generated and fed to a head 16 through a recording side contact R of a switch circuit 36 and recording at the edge of a tape 1. In bringing the mode to the video recording pause mode by turning on a switch 51, the head 16 reproduces the control pulse CTL, which is fed to a control circuit 50 via the switch 36 and a reproducing amplifier 37. Then the control circuit 50 checks the period of the CTL and confirms that the tape running is stabilized, then a reset pulse synchronously with the CTL is given to the generating circuit 40.
