Abstract:
An information transmitting method comprising the steps of: transmitting identification information of a recording medium from at least one terminal section for reproducing a duplicate recording medium duplicated from the recording medium having recorded thereon first digital data related to an encrypted work and second digital data including at least identification information proper to the medium, to a host section via a communication channel; authenticating the transmitted identification information by the host section; requesting the terminal section for accounting; and transmitting data related to a key for decrypting the encryption of the first digital data to the terminal section when the accounting is carried out.

Abstract:
A digital data processing apparatus which receives digital data whose use is charged for through a data recording medium or a network and uses the received digital data by using use right data, wherein the apparatus has memory means in which use history information of the digital data has been stored, and an accumulation of uses of the digital data is monitored by use history information, and when the accumulation of the uses reaches a preset value, a transfer of the use history information is promoted.
Abstract:
A recording medium applicable to an information service system capable of transmitting and receiving information by a user-side terminal device using a communication line such as the Internet to access a management server as a server device. The recording medium (10a) has a lead in area (16a), a data recording area (14a) arranged at an outer circumference of the lead in area (16), and a lead out area (12a) arranged at the outer circumference of the data recording area (14a). A plurality of identification information are recorded at least one of these areas (12a, 14a, 16a).
Abstract:
A data recorded medium having a data recorded area where digital data including literary work data on literary works such as a music composition and an image is recorded, wherein identification information for identifying the recorded medium is recorded in an identification information recorded area and judging information representing presence/absence of identification information is recorded in a read-in area. The location of the digital data recorded on a recorded medium is managed by identification information for identifying the recorded medium and hence a wide variety of use such as copyings of literary work data is possible.
Abstract:
A recording medium comprises at least a read-in area (12a), a recording area (14a) in which information is recorded, and a read-out area (16a). Medium information including medium identification information and related information is recorded in at least one of the read-in area (12a), recording area (14a), and read-out area (16a).
Abstract:
A recording medium comprising at least a lead-in area (16a); a recording area (14a) in which information is recorded; and a lead-out area (12a) wherein at least medium identification information including user identification information, which is used for identifying a user, is recorded in at least one of the lead-in area (16a), recording area (14a), and lead-out area (12a).
Abstract:
When a recording medium containing at least one program data is inserted, a program for registration is started to read identification information inherent to the recording medium recorded on the recording medium, so that the identification information read out is correlated with and stored with the acquired user information and the program data is read out from the recording medium after the storage operation is complete.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by eliminating necessity of acquiring of a plurality of data recording mediums for each use in the data recording mediums for recording digital data. SOLUTION: Digital data for a plurality of uses and identification information UID (Unique IDentification:individual ID) added to each use are recorded in the same data recording medium in advance. For example, music CD where data for promotion and data for a main volume (normal edition data) are managed by respectively different UIDs is distributed as CD for promotion. The data for promotion is designated so that it can be freely reproduced (step S1). When a user desires to purchase the data for the main volume as the result of trying the data for promotion, he/she accesses a server owned or managed by a record company being the distribution source of the music CD and performs procedure for charge (steps S2 and S3). Thus, the UID which manages the main volume is validated and after verifying the UID by the server, full data can be reproduced (steps S4 and S5). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
