Abstract: An optical recording apparatus includes a memory (14), a recording device (3,4,16), a detector (5,30) and a controller (7). The memory (14) stores input data in sequence at a first transmission rate and is read out the stored input data at a second transmission rate which is faster than the first transmission rate and outputs the data read at the second transmission rate as a recording data in predetermined data unit. The recording device adds a cluster connecting sector with a data length enough to cover a distance to rearrange data through interleaving before and after the recording data in the predetermined data unit and or recording the interleaved data on an optical disc (2). The detector (5,30) detects the abnormality of the recording operation the recording device and outputs an output signal as an abnormality detected result. The controller (7) controls the recording device (3,4,16) corresponding to the output signal from the detector within a predetermined period.

Abstract: A shop, a cabled network, a portable telephone network or a satellite network is used as means for distributing the a contents in a content server to user units. That is, the real price is determined by multiplying the charging information (3 points/30 seconds, for example), of contents to be reproduced by the index by areas. In a step S24, the determined real price is displayed for a user. When contents are reproduced, charging is performed on the basis of the determined real price.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of recording discontinuous recording data even when track jumps frequently occurrs by stopping a re-recording operation based on the abnormal detection result in a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:A timer 40, which incorporates a reference clock generating circuit and a counter, starts the counting of the reference clock when a first abnormal detection result is obtained from an abnormal detection circuit 30 and supplies a control signal to a counter 41 when a prescribed period (3 seconds) is passed. The counter 41 starts its counting operation by the signal from the timer 40 and when the counted value of the abnormal detection result becomes 3, which is a prescibed value, supplies the output signal, which is the counting result, to a system controller 42. The controller 42 receives the abnormal detection result from a counter 41, stops the recording operation in a recording mode, re-records the recorded data, which are not recorded, into a magneto-optical disk 2. In a reproducing mode, reproducing operations are repeated for the data which are not reproduced from the disk 2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operation ease by a method wherein proper information concerning a recording medium is stored in a recording means beforehand and the proper information concerning the recording medium which is reproduced by a reproducing means is indicated on a display means. In accordance with the control of the control unit 6, the player unit 8 plays the disc 3a and outputs a playback signal from an output terminal 9 and transmits the playback signal to the reproduction control unit 6. The playback signal contains information signals such as the length of a number and an elapsed time after the start of playback. The reproduction control unit 6 detects the information signals from the playback signal and transmits them to a remote control unit 2 through a transmission unit 10.
