Abstract: A disc cartridge loading device for loading a disc cartridge to a disc drive device. The disc cartridge attachment device includes a retention lever 49 having an engaging portion 52 engaging in an engaging recess of the disc cartridge and mounted on a cartridge holder 18 for rotation and movement in the disc cartridge inserting-discharging direction, a spring 56 biasing the retention lever into rotation in the direction of engagement of the engaging portion with the engaging recess and also into movement in the disc cartridge inserting direction, and an engagement releasing mechanism 57, 49a for rotating the retention lever for releasing the engagement of the engaging portion with the engaging recess on movement of the retention lever 49 in the disc cartridge discharging direction for halting the disc cartridge at a predetermined position during ejection of the disc cartridge.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To always write a reference signal to a prescribed position by learning a position error for fitting the magnetic head of a reference signal writer used for writing the reference signal, before the operation to write the reference signal. CONSTITUTION:Based on an (x) axial direction driving signal S1, (y) axial direction driving signal S2 and azimuth control signal S5 inputted from a driving amount control processing part, a reference signal writer 10 controls the driving of stepping motors 15, 26 and 36, and moves a slide board 12 in an (x) axial direction and a slide board 21 and an azimuth stand 35 in a (y) axial direction so as to just track a downside magnetic head 3 to a track TR11. X-axia and Y-axis moving amount measuring instruments 18B and 31 and an azimuth angle measuring instrument 39 send out respective moving amount signals and the amount of deviation from a reference moving amount is calculated and stored by a driving amount control processing part. The driving amount control processing part positions an upside magnetic head 6 so as to just track it to a track TR12 on the upper surface side S1 of a master alignment disk DISKO and measures the fitting position error of the upside magnetic head 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect an offset quantity based on the regenerative signal of a reference signal obtained from each circumference by forming a reference signal recording area where at lease one set of the reference signals having different azimuth angles are recorded on the circumference having a different radius. CONSTITUTION:The sizes in the radial direction of reference signal recording areas AROFF1 and AROFF2 are set at sufficiently large values for practical use so that signal levels V3 and V4 of reproduced burst signals SOFFB1 and SOFFB2 may fluctuate only by azimuth loss. Further, the reference signal is recorded at different azimuth angles theta1 and theta2 around a reference azimuth angle thetaT on two track centers TRC0 and TRC79. Thus, based on the signal levels V3 and V4 of a regenerative signal SRF, an azimuth error on the track centers TRC0 and TRC79 is detected, and based on the azimuth error, the offset quantity is detected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit constitution for disk discrimination by selecting one frequency of a servo signal so as to be equal to a recording line density on a magnetic disk respectively in 1st and 2nd modes so as to decrease the number of band pass filters. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a reproducing amplifier 2 is fed to band pass filters 91-93 having three kinds of frequencies in a period of servo ID and servo data signal at recording and reproduction and signals from the filters 91-93 are fed to a circuit 10 detecting ID signal and the detected ID signal is fed to a CPU 11 for driving control. In obtaining a signal from a filter of a frequency 125kHz among the band pass filters 91-93, it is discriminated that the disk is a disk of a 1st or 2nd mode. Through the constitution above, the signal recorded in a line density equal to each other on a disk is reproduced by an equal frequency. Thus, the detection is implemented by using a single band pass filter so as to decrease the number of the band pass filters, thereby simplifying the circuit constitution for disk discrimination.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enlarge the manufacturing error allowable range of an attaching angle of a head having a slider by obliquely fixing the head having the slider so that one slider surface where a head core is provided may be higher than the other slider surface. CONSTITUTION:When a head 4 having a lower side slider is adhered and fixed through a fixing plate 5 to a carriage 1 by adhesives 16, the head 4 having the lower side slider is inclined by an inclination angle theta of approximately 0.2 deg. with respect to a horizontal reference surface F so that one slider surface 13 where a head core 15 is provided may be higher than another slider surface 14 by several microns, and then it is adhered. In such a constitution, the negative manufacturing error allowable range of the fitting angle of the head 4 having the lower side slider with respect to a carriage 1 an be enlarged to the same extent as the positive range, and even when the manufacturing error of the fitting angle is generated, the minimal RF output level can be ensured.

CONSTITUTION:An opening and closing door device 10 has a long sideway window 3 at the front face of a rectangular case, and a door 5 which opens and closes the window 3 while supported by a rotary shaft 0 at the right and left peripheral parts of the window 3, and rotated with the shaft 0 as a center. The shaft 0 is provided within the thickness range in the backward and forward directions of the up and down peripheral parts 2FU and 2FD of the window 3 opposed to the window 5, so that the lower edge face 11D of the upper peripheral part 2FU of the window 3 can be abutted to the upper edge side P2 of the window 5 at the inner side against the shaft 0 when a force F0 to a vertical direction is added to the case. Thus, the case can be availably prevented from being curved even when the force to the vertical direction is added to the case.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten write recovery time and to read at high speed by providing a shift-detection circuit, letting it to generate a pulse when detecting a timing when the control signal of a memory shifts from writing state to reading state, and equalizing a compensation data line by using the said detection pulse. CONSTITUTION:The shift detection signal WEP is supplied to the gate of the equalizer MOS transistor 51 of the write recovery circuit 50, and the transistor 51 turns on, then a current flows from the stray capacity C17 of a data line 21 to the stray capacity C18 of a data line 22 to lower the potential V21 of the data line 21. At the same time, the potential V22 of the data line 22 begins to rise. Because the MOS transistor 51 is comparatively a small area, its driving capability is comparatively small, but it becomes much more smaller with the lapse of time because, the voltage VDS between the drain and source of the transistor 51 decreases with the lapses of time. Accordingly, during the period when the signal WEP is 'Hi', the potentials V21 and V22 of both data lines 21 and 22 approach closer each other.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the high potential of a data line and to perform a stable reading even when a power source voltage is lowered, by eliminating the substrate effect of an active load MOS transistor of the data line. CONSTITUTION:In case of reading, a WE signal supplied to a terminal 45t is 'Hi', which is inverted by an inverter 44 to be 'Lo', supplied to respective the gates of active load MOS transistors 41 and 42 and both MOS transistors 41 and 42 are turned on. Since their operating points are selected in a triode area, both transistors 41 and 42 operate as resistors and an equivalent circuit becomes a state as shown in the drawing. As the active loads, P channel MOS transistors 41 and 42 are used and a substrate effect DELTAVth is eliminated, thereby, when power source voltage VDD is 5V, electric potentials V21 and V22 of a data line d21 and a data line 22 are respectively enhanced to about 3.9V and about 4.1V.
