Abstract: A disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus performs recording information on and/or reproducing information from a disk-like recording medium within a sealed receptacle by the use of a head. In the apparatus, an optical encoder for detecting positions of the head with respect to the disk-like recording medium has such a scale plate as to be swingable on the arm shaft of a head arm together with the head arm, as to have scale marks engraved in the radius direction of the arm shaft, and as to consist of a single member in whole, so that a trouble such as the head is off the track dut to a thermal influence and so forth, never occurs.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely load a disk record medium on the high-speed rotated disk rotation operating part of a disk drive device and to use the same for a common disk drive device with compatibility with a conventional magnetic disk. SOLUTION: This disk record medium is provided with a main surface used as a signal recording part, a disk base body 73 having a roughly circular center hole in the center of the main surface and a hub 72 attached to the disk base body 73 so as to seal a center hole 73a provided in the disk base body 73. The hub 72 is provided with an inner peripheral part 72f having a spindle hole 72c formed in the center to interpolate the spindle of a disk table side and an outer peripheral part 72g connected to the outside of the inner peripheral part 72f and formed via a step part so as to be protruded from the inner peripheral part 72c to the side for inserting the spindle. Further, the hub 72 is provided with a driving pin engaging hole 72d for inserting the driving pin of the disk table side.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate fine adjustment of a load pressure and to make the device strong against shock or vibration by movably pressing the head arm to a magnetic disk side through energization to a piezoelectric member and to a diamagnetic disk side through the cut-off of such energization. SOLUTION: With a piezoelectric rubber 8 energized and with a spindle motor rotatably driven at a prescribed low speed, the length of the piezoelectric rubber 8 is reduced in resistance against elasticity, imparting a rotary pressing force to a pair of upper and lower head supporting leaf springs 2, 3 in the direction of the arrow a1. Then, a load pressure F1, which is the contact load of the pair of upper and lower magnetic heads 6, 7 against the upper and lower faces of a small capacity floppy disk FD, is automatically adjusted to a prescribed high load pressure, the optimum value. As a result, centering for example can be surely carried out for a small capacity floppy disk FD against the center of the spindle for the purpose of recording/reproducing in a small capacity of data such as 1-2MB or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary a load pressure of a magnetic head to a magnetic disk and save electricity by varying a depressing force of a load pressure variable leaf spring to elastically press a head arm loading the magnetic head. SOLUTION: Head arms 4, 5 mounted via head arm-supporting plate springs 2, 3 to the upper, lower sides of a carriage 1 load magnetic heads 6, 7 to upper, lower opposing faces of leading ends. A leaf spring 9 constituting a load spring depresses at a leading end 9a the head arm 5 in a direction of an arrow (a). A load pressure variable leaf spring 8 constituting a load pressure variable load spring elastically presses at a leading end 8a via a ball 13 the head arm 4 in the direction of the arrow (a). The ball 13 is movable along a U groove 12 formed to a head arm upper face 4a and becomes stable at a position of either a positioning recess 14 or a positioning recess 15 by a toggle mechanism. Accordingly, a depressing point of the load pressure variable leaf spring 8 to the head arm 4 is controlled to move.
