According to the above construction, a tape cassette is fixed in the tape cassette receiving housing so as not to incline the tape cassette and not to rotate the supply reel and the take-up reel.

    Abstract: A tape cassette receiving casing (1) comprises a casing body (2) and a cover (4) openably mounted to the casing body (2) by a hinge portion (3). Shafts (5, 6) are provided to be inserted into reel drive holes (114, 115) of a supply reel and a take-up reel on a tape cassette (111) which is received in the casing body. Elastic bodies (7) are mounted on the outer peripheries of the shafts to bring them into contact with the inner peripheral surfaces of the reel drive holes. With the arrangement, a tape cassette is secured in the tape cassette receiving casing so that it will not be inclined and the supply reel and take-up reel will not rotate despite shocks at the time of falling and vibrations during transportation.
