Abstract: A receiver receives a digital signal from an external device by digital signal receiver means or receives an analog signal from an external device by analog signal receiver means. Output means outputs the received digital or analog signal, together with graphics information for operating the external device from generation means if necessary. No matter whether an external device supplies a digital or analog signal, the signal and graphics information may serve to operate an external device, thus facilitating control of an external device.
