    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a pin carbon application device and the method thereof having the capability of improving the application quality of conductive carbon for a panel pin, extending the service life of a paintbrush and allowing a multiple-model mixed-lot production. CONSTITUTION:A panel P is positioned on a fixing table 8. A metal back layer is formed on the panel P, and a pin is provided on the panel P. Furthermore, a five-axis vertical multi-joint robot 2 is provided below the panel P. The hand section 11 of the robot 11 is fitted with a paintbrush 5. The tip 5a of the paintbrush 5 is rotatable via the operation of the robot 2. The tip 5a is supplied with conductive carbon from a carbon tank 4. Also, the tip 5a is stroked with the rotation of a drum 16. The amount of the conductive carbon is thereby adjusted, and the tip 5a is properly shaped.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable high-speed counting operation and to discriminate a color stripe position for the counting by counting black stripes by a phase difference counting system. CONSTITUTION:Light 15 transmitted through the pattern 24 of a carbon stripes 2 of a panel 1 to be measured is split into two in a lens barrel part 16; and one transmitted light beam 15B is made incident on an image pickup camera 13 for stripe width measurement and the other transmitted light 15B is made incident on a detection part 14 for stripe counting. Then the detection part 14 is connected to a phase difference input counter and the light 15 is moved crossing the stripes 2, so that the colors of the color stripes shot by the image pickup camera 13 are discriminated by the counter number of stripes 2 obtained by a phase difference input counter based on the signal from the detection part 14. At this time, the image obtained by the camera 13 is processed to measure the stripe widths of red, green, and blue at measurement points and the width of each stripe 2. Therefore, the fluorescent screen is accurately and speedily evaluated by those measurements.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow mixed flow production of pins regardless of pin sizes by applying photosensitive agent to the pins when the pins for mounting a color selection electrode constituting a cathode ray tube are made, selectively exposing it and removing carbon deposited to the pins with a reversing phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive agent 1a is also applied to pins 13 for mounting a color selection electrode 2, it is selectively exposed and then carbon 3 deposited to the pins 13 is removed with a reversing phenomenon, to ensure removal of carbon deposited to the pins 13 in forming a light absorbing layer 3s inside a panel P. For its purpose, ultraviolet ray emitted from an optical fiber 9 is inclined at a preset angle to the center axes of the pins 13 and irradiated to the pins 13 to sufficiently expose the photosensitive agent 1a in all surface area of the pins 13. Then, nozzles 14a, 14b are used to spray water to the center axes of the pins 13 and the inclined portion thereof so that carbon to be removed can be completely separated therefrom.
