Abstract:
A device and method for holding a rear projection screen; a screen holding film body used for holding the screen; and a method for holding the holding film body. The holding device comprises a film body set in association with end surfaces of a divided lens constituting a screen and having an engaging portion, a member for holding the film body, a meshing member set on the holding memberin a condition of meshing with the engaging portion of the film body, and tension condition maintaining means for moving the meshing member to tension the film body. The film body, a so-called holding film body, has engaging holes formed at four sides extended while covering four end surfaces of the divided lens. The holding film body is held with four sides thereof tensioned. Accordingly, joints on a projected picture are minimized to prevent portions of the projected picture from missing and simplify the assembly.

PURPOSE:To easily and economically produce a good original plate when a metal layer is formed by electroplating on a smooth substrate on which a patterned film is provided before the layer is separated from the substrate to produce an optical disk original plate by controlling the supply quantity and current quantity of plating solution to the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION:After a patterned film is provided on a substrate having a smooth surface, such as glass and the patterned surface is made conductive by vapor deposition sputtering, etc., and after plating solution is energized to make the pattern a conductor while it is fed from a separate storage tank, a thick metal layer is formed by electroplating with large current to produce an optical disk original plate by separating the layer from the substrate. In this case, the flow rate and current value of the plating solution with the lapse of time from the plating start point of time, t0, to a plating termination point of time, t2, are changed so that they may take the values represented by the curves 11, 12 respectively. Thereby the generation of defective plating due to the change of temp. and pH value is prevented with a small device to economically produce an optical disk original plate of excellent property.

PURPOSE:To obtain a tape guide member capable of maintaining rhe initial characteristics during long-term use by using cupric ion and a mineral acid as the principal components of an etching soln. for treating the surface of a tape guide member. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a tape guide member is treated with an etching agent contg. cupric ion and a mineral acid as the principal components. Thus, a tape guide member with high roundness and stable surface roughness is obtd. This member undergoes remarkably less intergranular corrosion than a member treated with an etching agent contg. ferric chloride as the principal component, and it shows favorable results in a brine spray test. Even if a tape is continuously run over a long time, the intial characteristics of this member can be maintained.

PURPOSE:To provide an ink capable of forming a chemical-resistant film and not susceptible to discoloration by plating, prepared by adding a sulfur-contg. compd. and a fluorine-based surfactant to a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The ink is prepared by blending 100pts.wt. binder resin (e.g. vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer), about 10-100pts.wt. sulfur-contg. compd. which inhibits the catalytic action of Pd used in a plating treatment (e.g. dixylyl disulfide, thiophenol) and about 10-100pts.wt. fluorine-based surfactant or formulaIor II (where n is 6-12; R is 1-20C alkyl, alkadienyl, alkatrienyl or aromatic group; X is halogen or a residue of a mineral acid) which protects a coating film against attack of an etchant and inhibits attachment of the catalyst. If necessary, a pigment, powdered Teflon, etc. may be added.

PURPOSE:To enable a resist applying device to uniformly apply a resist even when the temperature and humidity change. CONSTITUTION:A turntable 3 which is rotated by means of a motor 2 and resist supplying mechanism section 5 which supplies a resist to a substrate 4 placed on the table 3 are incorporated in the main body 1 of a resist applying device. The temperature and humidity in the main body 1 are respectively measured with a thermometer 9 and hygrometer 10 and the rotating speed of the motor 2 is controlled in accordance with a preset correction curve in accordance with the measured results of the temperature and humidity.

PURPOSE:To easily produce a master disk of an optical disk free from defects such as a flaw. CONSTITUTION:A UV-curing resin layer 15 formed on the 1st face of the plastic disk 10, and a resist layer 19 formed on the disk 10 through the resin layer 15, and having surface ruggedness formed in accordance with a recording signal, are provided. The objective master disk 20 of optical disk free from defects such as a flaw is easily produced, and troublesome work and a large-scale equipment required in the case of use of a glass disk 10 can be eliminated.

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a product which can be manufactured inexpensively and easily and is, moreover, superior in durability, by a method wherein simultaneously with application of a transparent resin layer to the surface of the metallic foil a laminated sheet is formed by applying a resin layer to the back of a metalli foil and monolithic molding of the metallic foil with the laminated sheet is performed. CONSTITUTION:Along with application of coating of a top film 2 to the surface of a metallic foil 3 a base film 5 is stuck to the back of the foil 3 for lamination through an adhesive agent layer 4. Then narrowing of the laminated sheet 1 is performed. In other words, the sheet 1 is molded into a shape corresponding to a stamper of a cavity of an injection mold. Then after the molded laminated sheet 1 has been unloaded from a mold 6A, the molded sheet part 1a is punched by making use of a cutter 8 and the molded sheet 1a is obtained. Then resin 11 is moled through injection after the molded sheet 1a has been fitted within the stamper 9 of the cavity of the injection mold and a mold core 10 has been provided. Then an injection-molded article 12 is unloaded from the cavity.
