Abstract: A method for manufacturing, on the inner surface of a panel glass 3 of a color cathode ray tube, a phosphor screen formed of plural combinations of color phosphor stripes and carbon stripes adjacent to the each color phosphor stripe, has too main sub-processes of forming carbon stripes and forming phosphor respectively. The first sub-process includes the steps of coating and thermodrying photoresist on the inner surface of the panel glass exposing the photoresist through a first correction lens system 12, and coating a carbon film on the inner surface of the panel glass. The second sub-process includes the steps of coating color phosphor slurries on the inner surface of the panel glass and thermodrying the color phosphor slurries after forming the carbon stripes, exposing the color phosphor slurry through a second correction lens system 13, and developing the color phosphor slurries. The use of different correction lens systems compensates for the different temperatures of the panel glass after thermodrying the photoresist and the color phosphor slurries.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fill and coat the color slurry without leaving an orbit boundary so as to prevent the generation of unevenness of illuminance by providing a pre-coating solution layer, which has the same composition with a color filter layer, between a carbon layer, which is provided in an inner surface of a face panel for color cathode-ray tube, and a color filter layer, which is made of the pigment having the same color with the light emitted from a phosphor. SOLUTION: A carbon stripe of the predetermined pattern, which is formed in an inner surface of a face panel 2, is coated with the pre-coating solution having the same composition with the color filter slurry of blue, green and red, and development is performed at need. A boundary of orbit is not left at the time of filling the slurry. A blue, a green and a red phosphor stripe layers 12B, 12G, 12R are formed on a blue, a green and a red filters 11B, 11G and 11R, which are formed between carbon stripes on the residual pre-coating solution layer 10, so as to form a fluorescent surface. Concentration of the pigment is desirably set at 12-16.5 wt.% in relation to the pre-coating solution, which includes polyvinyl alcohol distributing agent, cross linking agent and pure water.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the coating, and improve the white uniformity of a color cathode-ray tube by providing a means for guiding a slurry discharge means to a first predetermined position and a means for moving the slurry discharge means to a second predetermined position while the slurry is continuously discharged. SOLUTION: In the case of coating an inner surface of a panel 1 with the blue color filter slurry, the panel 1 is fixed to the predetermined position, in which a long side and a short side of the panel 1 make a constant angle in relation to the gravity thereof, and a slurry filling nozzle is set at a position A separated from the center of the panel 1 surface. At the time of starting the filling of the slurry from the slurry filling nozzle for coating, before the slurry arrives a skirt part C, the slurry is continuously filled and while filling position is always moved to a position B, which is not yet coated, so as to eliminate parts, which are not yet coated. Thereafter, the panel 1 is rotated around the center of the panel 1, and coating and rolling of the slurry is performed so as to uniformize the coating thickness of the slurry.

In other words, in this color cathode-ray tube production method, since the points where the inverting agent is made to flow out are dispersed, repeated exposure of a specified point to the inverting agent is prevented and consequently, discoloration of carbon in the specified point in a successive baking process is prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a whole image exposure device capable of preventing the deterioration of image quality and the deterioration of white uniformity by relatively rocking or moving whole light sources against a CRT panel in the range of the layout pitches or above of the light sources. SOLUTION: A CRT panel 1 is conveyed into a whole image exposure device and it is set to the prescribed position against fluorescent lamps 3, 3... by a panel positioning mechanism 2. The rocking of a support means 4 is started by a rocking cylinder 5, and the fluorescent lamps 3, 3... are simultaneously lighted. The rocking is constituted of a reciprocating shift of 0.5 pitch (P) in the left direction (or right direction) and a reciprocating shift of 0.5P in the right direction (or left direction). Each shift is made at a constant speed, and the shifting speed is set so that the length of the rocking period containing three shifts coincides with the set whole image exposure period. Even if the heterogeneity of the illuminance distribution by instantaneous interference fringes occurs, the illuminance distribution is moved as it is, and the exposure quantity is unified through the whole exposure period.

SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a fluorescent screen has a process to carry out the development by making the expanding direction of developing water 3b by a nozzle 3a near the end of either one side, of plural nozzles 3a provided in a line form, which develop an exposed pattern by injecting developing water 3b, almost symmetric to the expanding direction of the developing water 3b by a nozzle 3a almost at the center. An alternative manufacturing method of the fluorescent screen is a process of carrying out the development by making the injection amount per unit time of developing water 3b by a nozzle 3a near the end of either one side larger than that of the developing water 3b by the nozzle 3a at almost the center may be provided, or a process of carrying out the development by making the injection angle of developing water 3b by the nozzle 3a of any of near one end part smaller than the injection angle of developing water 3b by the nozzle 3a of approximately central part may be provided.
