    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fluorescent screen of stabilized quality while restricting the rise of panel temperature and making the fine control of panel temperature possible by drying the coating coated on the inner surface of a panel with a heat source so as to form a phosphor film on the inner surface of a panel in the condition that a shielding plate is arranged between the heat source and a cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: A panel support mechanism 2 of a fluorescent screen manufacturing device 1 supports a panel 3, and the inner surface of the panel is coated with the water soluble photosensitive composition, carbon slurry, phosphor slurry, and filming agent slurry or the like. A heat source 4 is arranged opposite to a main surface of the panel 3, and a shielding plate 6 is supported by a shielding plate support mechanism 5 between the panel 3 and the heat source 4 opposite to the main surface of the panel 3. The shielding plate 6 can be provided with an external control device for controlling the operation of the shielding plate 6 and a detecting device 8 for detecting the main surface temperature of the panel 3. With this structure, remote control of the shielding plate 6 and arrangement of the shielding plate 6 and removal thereof can be performed in response to the main surface temperature of the panel 3.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the black matrix forming method for fluorescent screen while restraining a reaction with a carbon coating film by devising the solution, with which a resist layer is swelled for peeling. SOLUTION: A resist layer 60 is formed in the inner surface of a panel 20 as a structural member of a fluorescent screen in the predetermined area, and a carbon coating film 90 is formed for lamination so as to coat the resist layer 60, and a surface of the carbon coating film 90 is filled with the solution so as to peel the resist layer 60 from the panel 20, and while the carbon coating film 90 formed for lamination on a top surface of the resist layer 60 is peeled so as to form a black stripe 10. In this method of forming the black stripe 10, composition of potassium permanganate solution and sodium hydroxide solution is used as a described solution. Chemical reaction of the solution with the black stripe 10 is thereby restrained so as to form an appropriate black stripe 10.

At that time, about the phosphor slurry of a color to be formed at first, adjustment for reducing the contrast of a boundary line, resulting from drying the slurry in a process of applying, is performed by adjusting a ratio and/or viscosity of the phosphor slurry to the binder of the phosphor, instead of by mixing a surface active agent.

SOLUTION: A preprocessing composition is made of powder, polyvinyl alcohol, ammonium dichromate, surfactant, and water. The obtained slurry is extended over a panel of a CRT, developed, and dried. When fluorescent material slurry is poured, dripped, and dried, and when the formed coating surface is visually observed, improvement up to a favorable level is recognized in that almost no pouring mark is found.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of unevenness of color by discharging the curing agent from a discharging nozzle in nearly parallel with the inner surface of a panel. CONSTITUTION: A discharging nozzle 10 as a curing agent coating device is formed into the L-shape, and the curing agent is discharged in nearly parallel with the inner surface of a panel 8. The inner diameter of the discharging nozzle 10 is set at the predetermined size width than that of the conventional one. Consequently, when the tannic acid solution as the curing agent is supplied through a hose 12 connected to the nozzle 10, the tannic acid solution is discharged from the tip of the nozzle 10 in nearly parallel with the inner surface of the panel 8. The tannic acid solution discharged from the nozzle 10 is jetted in parallel, and dropped by the self-weight, but it is dispersed in the process, and width of the curing agent at the time when the curing agent is adhered to the inner surface of the panel, namely, the initial adhesion width is widened. Consequently, the initial adhesion area is widened to 80-300cm , and unevenness of the hardening speed is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable formation of an excellent black pattern by changing high water pressure into low water pressure in a developing process and injecting an interface activator after the developing process and performing a hard film process. CONSTITUTION:A PVA sensitive film 12 is first developed for 15 seconds with high water pressure of 4 kg/cm to 5 kg/cm or so, and next it is developed for 30 or more seconds with low water pressure of 1.5 kg/cm to 2.5 kg/cm or so, so that a PVA resist layer 15 is formed with stripes on positions corresponding to respective colors. Just after the developing process, an interface activator is injected. Next the layer is coated with a hard film agent. Successively, on the whole surface involving the PVA resist layer 15, a carbon coated film 16 made of carbon slurry is formed, and after it is dried, a peeling agent such as periodate is injected and reversal is performed by water spray, and so the PVA layer 15 and the carbon coated film 16 on the layer 15 are removed to form a black stripe 17.

Since the sensitive solution mixing the PVA- ADC type and PVP-DAS type sensitizers is used, a contraction of the resist layer of such a sensitizer is prevented in a membrane hardening process. Therefore, carbon stripes with pretty edges can be realized.

In the case of correcting chromaticity of the red fluorescent surface adjusting phosphor slurry, a green chromaticity adjusting phosphor slurry at 3 wt.% or less or a blue chromaticity adjusting phosphor slurry at 1 wt.% or less is mixed.
