Abstract: A method for manufacturing, on the inner surface of a panel glass 3 of a color cathode ray tube, a phosphor screen formed of plural combinations of color phosphor stripes and carbon stripes adjacent to the each color phosphor stripe, has too main sub-processes of forming carbon stripes and forming phosphor respectively. The first sub-process includes the steps of coating and thermodrying photoresist on the inner surface of the panel glass exposing the photoresist through a first correction lens system 12, and coating a carbon film on the inner surface of the panel glass. The second sub-process includes the steps of coating color phosphor slurries on the inner surface of the panel glass and thermodrying the color phosphor slurries after forming the carbon stripes, exposing the color phosphor slurry through a second correction lens system 13, and developing the color phosphor slurries. The use of different correction lens systems compensates for the different temperatures of the panel glass after thermodrying the photoresist and the color phosphor slurries.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict pouring mark after pouring fluorescent slurry by specifying a composition. SOLUTION: A preprocessing composition is made of powder, polyvinyl alcohol, ammonium dichromate, surfactant, and water. Specifically, zinc sulfide is used for the powder, and weight percentages of the ingredients are, in the order of the above enumeration, 25%, 2.5%, 0.1%, and 0.2%, is weight and the remainder, and the mixture is uniformly mixed. The obtained slurry is extended over a panel of a CRT, developed, and dried. When fluorescent material slurry is poured, dripped, and dried, and when the formed coating surface is visually observed, improvement up to a favorable level is recognized in that almost no pouring mark is found.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shaken-off liquid from sticking to various devices (for example, a drier) in a cathode ray tube manufacturing machine, the other equipment except the cathode-ray tube manufacturing machine or the other processing object or the like by scattering to a wide range. SOLUTION: A cathode-ray tube manufacturing machine is provided with a rotary head 2 to rotate (autorotate) it at high speed by holding a holding object 1, a head support arm 4 to rotatably journal this head 2 with an almost horizontal shaft 7 crossing an autorotating shaft with the center and a revolving mechanism 3 to revolve the rotary head 2 with the almost horizontal shaft 7 as the center. A revolving range of the revolving mechanism 3 ranges from an upper side limit angle at which the holding object 1 turnes just above or to its vicinity to a lower side limit angle exceeding an angle turning to the side and also an angle turning just below. As a result, since a shaken-off liquid escapes from a drier 6, the possibility of polluting the drier 6 by the shaken-off liquid can be eliminated.

SOLUTION: In this washing device, a display panel 20 is held by a roller conveyor 30 in the condition that the inner surface 20a of the panel 20 is directed downward, and the chemical liquid is injected to the inner surface 20a of the display panel from under the panel by an injection nozzle 70 and while the air pressurized by a supercharger is fed from an air supply port 90a of a cover body 90 provided at an upper space V side facing to the outer surface 20b of the display panel so as to generate the air flow directed to an acid cleaning vessel 40 from the upper space V, and the generated air flow is discharged from a discharge port 41 so as to prevent the adhesion of the splash of the chemical liquid to the outer surface 20b.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an insulation pressure resistance, prevent electric leakage, and improve quality and safety of a cathode-ray tube by forming a rugged part on a stem glass outer surface between adjacent stem pins and lengthening the creeping distance between corresponding stem pins. SOLUTION: A high-pressure focus voltage is supplied to high-pressure stem pins 3B1 and 3B2 erected on a stem glass 2 sealed at a terminal end of a neck 1 of a funnel constituting a CRT, and a potential difference with respect to stem pins 3A1 and 3A2 to which a grounding potential and a first grid potential are supplied reaches 8.5kV. Between the stem pins 3B1 and 3A1 and the stem pins 3B2 and 3A2 having such high potential difference, a rugged part 17 a wave having a specified elevation difference on the surface of a stem glass is formed during stem glass molding. Thereby, the creeping distance between the stem pins 3B1 and 3A1 and 3B2 and 3A2 is lengthened, thereby making it possible to improve dielectric withstand voltage.

Here, an exciting part moving mechanism 2 is provided, which changes the exciting position by moving the hammer head 6 on the panel surface of the panel funnel 8.
