Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify setting work by comparing a signal representing power consumption in the standby state of an external device with a signal in the operating state of an external device and controlling the supply of power voltage to a tuner circuit in response to the result of comparison. CONSTITUTION:A power plug 24a of a VTR 20 is plugged into a gang socket receptacle 8 of a BS tuner, and a current of the VTR 20 in the standby state is fetched and stored in a CPU of a system controller 48 as a digital signal representing the power consumption of the external device by the detection section 30. When the VTR 20 with the video recording reservation time set thereto is started by a built-in timer, the power consumption of the VTR 20 is increased and inputted to the CPU via the detection section 30 and the data in the standby state of the VTR 20 to be stored is compared. When the detected voltage exceeds the dead band, the start of the VTR 20 is discriminated by the CPU and a control output to close a main power switch 36 is sent and the power voltage is supplied to the tuner circuit 29. Thus, the setting work is simplified.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce occuring of erroneous clamping and to prevent deterioration in quality of an image when C/N becomes lower by varying the clamping constant of a clamping circuit for spread energy signal elimination is making use of the amount of sparkling noise during such a low C/N state as sparkling noise occur. CONSTITUTION:If C/N lowers, a sparkling noise occurs in a video signal SV, and the noises NP such as the sparkling noise occurring during a horizontal synchronizing signal cycle is included in the output of a gate circuit 23. The NP in such output of the gate circuit 23 is held by a peak holding circuit 24 for, for instance, 20 sec. approximately. The output PH of the peak holding circuit 24 is waveform-shaped by a waveform shaping circuit 25, and made a pulse SC, and inputted to a microcomputer 26, where the amount of the noise is compared with a preliminarily set reference value. Thus obtained difference is subjected to a D/A converter 27, a current control circuit 28, and supplied to the base of a transistor 186 from the input terminal 188 of a clamping circuit for spread energy signal elimination 18. In such a way, the discharge current from a clamping capacitor 182 is varied in order to vary the clamping constant.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a trouble in a sound tuning by controlling the second tuning frequency corresponding to the second carrier by maintaining a fixed interval from the first tuning frequency, interlocking with the control of the first tuning frequency corresponding to the first carrier by a sound tuning means. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a receiving means 1 for receiving a broadcasting signal FM modulating the prescribed carrier by a signal obtained by multiplying FM sound signals of plural sound modes in which the carrier is situated on an upper side frequency band of a video signal and which uses the carrier at an optional position on the video signal, a sound mode selecting means 2 and the sound tuning means 3 for controlling the tuning frequency. During the sound tuning when the second sound mode using the first and the second carriers is selected by the sound mode selecting means 2, the first tuning frequency corresponding to the first carrier is controlled, interlocking therewith, the second tuning frequency corresponding to the second carrier is controlled by maintaining the fixed interval from the first tuning frequency. Thereby, the trouble in the sound tuning can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify remarkably the input operation of a numeric data by giving a data of numeral '0' to remaining low-order digits to form a numeric data when a data is inputted from an end key before the numeric data with a maximum digit number is not finished for input. CONSTITUTION:When each key of a key matrix 21 is operated selectively, a code data representing a corresponding numeral is fetched in a signal processing circuit 14. When a numeric data to be inputted is subject to key input operation one by one digit from the most significant digit and the end key ENTER is operated before the numeric data with maximum digit number is inputted, the circuit 14 gives numeric '0' data to remaining digits not inputted yet simultaneously to form a numeric data to be displayed and the result is stored in a nonvolatile memory 24. This means that when '0' digits exist in the low order digits of the numeric data, the operation of the key ENTER is enough without operation of 0-key at each digit. Thus, the key operation is simplified in this way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a receiver in which it is not necessary to insert a special signal into a broadcasting wave and which is constituted simply by FM- demodulating the broadcasting wave, detecting the receiving of the signal and executing the recording action after the signal processing. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic recording mode is selected by a switch, a processing circuit 41 is set to the condition for responding to the detecting output of a broadcasting receiving detecting part 4. When the detecting part 4 receives the broadcasting wave formed by FM-modulating the carrier by the broadcasting signal, it is detected that the broadcasting signal is received by FM-modulating the broadcasting wave, the circuit 41 is responded by the detecting signal and the action signal is generated for a recording device 2. A video cassette recorder 2 records the recording input signal supplied from the detecting part 4. Consequently, the receiver can record the broadcasting wave to reach at the optional time without fail.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To apply smoothly fine adjustment to a polarization plane and to switch a probe of a parabolic antenna in a way to be matched to a polarization plane or a received broadcast wave by adjusting a time position of the front and rear edge of a pulse width respectively. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd pulses S3 for the polarization plane switching having a difference in a pulse width T1 corresponding to the pulse width by which the polarization plane of a parabolic antenna changes by 90 deg. are obtained selectively from a pulse generating circuit 31. A comparison signal S4 and a comparison output signal S5 of a reference value V3 synchronously with the pulse S3 are obtained from a comparator circuit 42 and the logical product with a pulse generating circuit 42 is outputted as a control signal S1. In selecting the 1st or 2nd pulse as an output signal S3 of the pulse generating circuit 31, the polarized face of the parabolic antenna 3 is changed by 90 deg. and the polarization plane of the parabolic antenna 3 is adjusted minutely by varying continuously the reference value V3. The reference value V3 is varied linearly and easily by the remote control operation.

CONSTITUTION:There are provided a receiving means 1 for receiving a broadcasting signal FM modulating a prescribed carrier by a signal obtained by multiplying an FM sound signal of the plural sound modes in which the carrier is situated in an upper side frequency band of a video signal and uses a carrier at an optional position on the video signal, the sound mode selecting means 2 for selecting the receiving sound mode among the plural sound modes, and the sound tuning means 3 for controlling a synchronizing frequency in order to receive the FM sound signal. When the receiving sound mode is changed over and selected by the sound mode selecting means 2, the tuning frequency is set at the carrier position high in using frequency in the selected sound mode by the sound tuning means 3. Thereby, in most cases, there is no trouble in the sound tuning and when the sound mode is changed over and selected, the sound signal can be received satisfactorily.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the troublesomeness of switching, too, and to raise the channel selection speed by selecting successively every other channel having the first plane of polarization, at the time of a sequential channel selection, and thereafter, switching automatically the receiving plane of polarization, and selecting successively every other channel having the second plane of polarization. CONSTITUTION:The titled receiver is provided with a receiving means 1 for receiving the broadcasting signals whose planes of polarization are different (for instance, horizontal and vertical) between adjacent channels, a switching means 2 for switching the receiving plane of polarization of this receiving means 1, and a control means 3 for controlling the operation of the receiving means 1 and the switching means 2, for instance, a microcomputer. In this state, under the control of the control means 3, first of all, the broadcasting signal in the receiving means 1 selects successively every other channel being the first plane of polarization. Subsequently, the switching means 2 switches the receiving plane of polarization to the second plane of polarization from the first plane of polarization. Next, the broadcasting signal in the receiving means 1 selects successively every other channel being the second plane of polarization.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To light up a display element corresponding to a channel to be used for antenna adjustment continuously and to check confirm the adjusting state simply by lighting up plural display elements corresponding to receivable channels successively in a prescribed order. CONSTITUTION:An FM satellite broadcasting wave received by a parabolic type BS receiving antenna 1 of a satellite broadcasting receiver is converted into an IF signal S1 by a BS converter 2 and inputted to a selection part 5 in a BS tuner 4 through a cable 3. The selection part 5 selects a channel and inputs the 2nd IF signal S2 to an AGC circuit 6. The circuit 6 suppresses noise included in the signal S2 and applies an AGC output signal S3 having a prescribed level to a video/voice processing circuit 7 and an AGC control signal S4 to an antenna adjustment specifying circuit 11. A character signal S5 outputted from the circuit 7 is applied to a character generator 14 in the circuit 11. A display driving circuit 15 is controlled by the outputs of a decision control circuit 12 for discriminating the state of a channel adjusting switch 13 and the generator 14 to display a picture.

CONSTITUTION:An MM type or MS type image pick-up tube by arranging a focus coil 5 at the external circumference of image pick-up tube comprising electron guns 2-4 and target 1 and also arranging a magnetic material 6' make of cylindrical permalloy having the bottom surface 6b forming the aperture 6a at the center of side end of target 1 at the external circumference thereof. In this case, the distance b between the focus coil 5 and target 1 is set to 0-5mm. and the distance d between the bottom surface 6b of magnetic material 6' and the focus coil 5 is set to 0-2.5mm. and moreover the aperture 6a is set smaller than the internal diameter of convergence coil 5. Accordingly, aberration can be made small without increasing size of focus coil 5 and power consumption by unifying the magnetic field of the area around the target 1.
