Abstract: L'invention améliore la qualité de rendu sonore lors d'une restitution de son et d'image provenant d'un signal source présentant des dérives temporelles. Pour restituer le son et les images à un débit fixe d'images, on calcule une séquence d'images au débit fixe à partir des images du signal source, et on échantillonne le son du signal source afin d'obtenir un signal sonore échantillonné ayant un nombre prédéterminé d'échantillons de son par image du signal source. La séquence d'images calculée et le signal sonore échantillonné sont restitués de façon synchronisée avec la réception du signal source. Le signal sonore échantillonné est restitué sans changement de hauteur tonale, avec un réglage de tempo en fonction du rapport entre le débit fixe d'images et le débit variable d'images.

Abstract: The method involves receiving a source signal having sound and images, at a variable rate of the images, and calculating image sequences at a fixed rate of the images from images of the signal. The sound of the signal is sampled to obtain a sampled sound signal with a preset number of sound samples by an image of the source signal. The sequences and the sampled signal are restored in synchronization with the reception of the source signal. The sampled signal is restored without changing the pitch, with an adjustment of the tempo based on a ratio between the fixed and variable rates of images.
