    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a mutual differential conductance input stage in which a bias condition is corrected by varying amplitude of a signal to be supplied to an input stage of a differential stage to improve entire noise characteristics of an amplifier. CONSTITUTION: The differential stage is configured by providing a means to reduce bias current by an amount in inversely proportional to the amplitude of an input signal vin with the differential stage including a pair of transistors Q1 and Q2 with a degenerate resistor R. Noise at a high level generated by an input stage in a conventional device with high input dynamic characteristics is solved by the differential stage.

    Abstract: A circuit for controlling frequency and/or phase response characteristic of a signal amplification system or channel has a serial architecture composed of a plurality of cells and a selector for deriving the signal after any one of the cascaded cells. At least a component of the RC network of each cell is in the form of a plurality of modules of fractionary value connected in series. A short-circuiting switch is associated with each module of fractionary value and the overall effect may be selected by selecting the derivation node of the output signal and a certain configuration of the short-circuiting switches of the RC networks of the various cells. An outstanding flexibility of selection is achieved.

    Abstract: The dynamic range of operation of a transconductance differential input stage is reduced when the amplitude of the input signal decreases, thus reducing the level of the noise that is generated by the input stage. A DC signal representaive of the sensed amplitude of the input signal is employed for either reducing the value of a common, emitter-degenerating resistance (R) or of the bias current that is forced in the two branches of the differential input stage.
