    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer of high reliability capable of automatically controlling measuring action. SOLUTION: A sphygmomanometer to take the maximum value and the minimum value of artery pressure, and record them is provided, and it is provided with a motion detecting and sorting means to generate an index for a current physical effort state that coincides with the indicated minimum and the maximum artery pressures, and a blood pressure control means to control execution of fuzzy logic processes for functions of the sphygmomanometer and the indicated values. A sensor for expansion of inner air pressure of an air compressing sleeve installed on an arm of a subject is used for detecting motion of the arm, and at least one second sensor for motion is fixed to the chest of the subject to be used.

    Abstract: A portable automatic system for acquisition and recording of information concerning the global motion activity of a subject during predetermined time interval comprises one or more motion sensors respectively placed on parts of the body of the subject under observation; an analog-to-digital converter associated with each sensor converting an analog signal generated by the sensor into digital data; a logic block for calculation of predefined parameters from successive sequences of said digital data; first fuzzy logic means processing said calculated parameters and storing corresponding fuzzy classification labels of the movement detected by each of said sensors during the same predetermined time interval; and second fuzzy logic processing means for classifying the global motion activity of the subject under observation with sets of fuzzy labels relative to the different motion sensors and a display presenting the subject's global motion activity in said interval.

    Abstract: An injection control method for controlling a "common rail" (CR) fuel injection system in a Diesel engine is described.
