    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket device and a weatherstrip substantially concealed in an invisible state when a window is in the closed position while positioning the peripheral edge part of the movable window flush with an automobile body. SOLUTION: A member with a U-shaped groove 48 vertically opened to the inner surface of the window 14 in a position close to the side edge of the window 14, is mounted to a flange 46 of a vehicle through a U-shaped groove 42 parallel with the inner surface of the window. A window member 50 mounted to the inner surface of the window and vertical to the inner surface is slidably and hermetically supported to the U-shaped groove. Preferably, the window member is removable from the U-shaped groove.

    Abstract: A glass panel is hingedly mounted for swinging movement about a structure which serves as a hinge and also as a weatherstrip. The glass panel has a substantially linear edge to which is bonded a cylindrical element, the edge of the glass panel extending into the cylindrical element for a substantial portion of a diameter. A resilient element which serves as a weatherstrip is mounted in any suitable manner on the frame, and is provided with a socket which presents a circular cross section. The cylindrical element on the linear edge of the glass panel fits into the socket thus provided in the weatherstrip, and the glass panel is thus swingable relative to the weatherstrip and frame about the axis of the cylindrical element.
