Abstract: To provide a non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition delivering excellent heat resistance without deteriorating over a long period of time, as well as possessing sufficient flame retardancy, mechanical properties,flexibilityand workability,andaninsulated wire and a wiring harness using the same. The non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition includes (B) a metallic hydrate, (C) a hindered phenolic antioxidant, (D) a sulfurous antioxidant, and (E) a metallic oxide in (A) a non-crosslinked base resin which includes a propylene resin containing 50 wt% or more of propylene monomer. It is preferable to utilize an imdazole compound as the ingredient (D) and an oxide of zinc as the ingredient (E). In addition, the composition is used as an insulated covering material for a non-halogenous insulated wire, which is used in a wire bundle of the wiring harness.

Abstract: An insulating cable, which has an insulating layer of a polyolefin resin crosslinked by using a crosslinking agent comprising an organic peroxide having a group of (a) (wherein n=1 or 2) in its molecule and an additive in combination. The insulating layer of a crosslinked polyolefin resin obtained by crosslinking a polyolefin resin by using a crosslinking agent of an organic peroxide having a group of (a) (wherein n=1 or 2) in its molecule, such as dicumyl peroxide or 1,3-bis(tert-butylperoxyisopropyl)-benzene and 0.01 to 2 wt. % of an additive comprising at least one member selected from among aliphatic amines and metal salts and amines of fatty acids serves to markedly suppress generation of water, thus providing insulating cables having an excellent long-term stability.

Abstract: A non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition which comprises (A) a non-crosslinked base resin comprising a propylene based resin comprising 50 wt % or more of a propylene monomer and, incorporated therein, (B) a metal hydrate, (C) a hindered phenol based antioxidant, (D) a sulfur based antioxidant and (E) a metal oxide; a non-halogen insulated electric wire using said composition as an insulating coating material; and a wire harness using said wire in the wire bundle thereof. An imidazole compound and an oxide of zinc are preferably used as the (D) component and the (E) component, respectively. The non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition exhibits satisfactory flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, flexibility and processability, is free from deterioration over a long period of time, and is excellent in heat resistance characteristics.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-like wire harness protecting material without remarkably furthering deterioration of wires in a wire bundle of a wire harness and suitably of wires covered with a non-halogen resin, and to provide a wire harness using it. SOLUTION: This wire harness protecting material is composed by applying an adhesive containing an acrylic resin as a main constituent to at least one surface of a tape-like base material formed of a non-halogen resin or a vinyl chloride resin. Suitably, an age resistor and/or a copper inhibitor are/is included in the adhesive and/or the base material. The percentage content of the age resistor is set to 10-500% with respect to that of the age resistor in the covering material of the wire covered with the non-halogen resin in the wire bundle to be wound with the wire harness protecting material. The content of the copper inhibitor is 0.001-5 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the adhesive resin constituent and 0.001-5 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the base material resin constituent.
