    Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled fibers, prepared by melt spinning a specific polymer consisting of specified repeating constituent units, having improved heat resistance and chemical resistance, and potential of strength as industrial fibers, and suitable for heat-resistant work clothing, etc. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic polyether ketone polymer consisting of 80mol% or more repeating constituent units of the formula, and having an intrinsic viscosity >=0.7 is melt extruded through a spinneret preferably at 380-430 deg.C and passed through a heating hood consisting of a heating cylinder provided just under the spinneret, and containing a gaseous atmosphere at 300-700 deg.C therein, cooled and solidified. The cooled and solidified filaments are then drawn in a heating medium at a temperature of 150 deg.C - the melting point of the polymer or in contact with the heating medium at a draw ratio >=3.0 to give the amied fibers having a tensile strength >=4.0g/denier and a knot strength >=3.0G/denier.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled monofilament, having remarkably improved knot strength within a wide range of monofilament diameters, and useful for fishing lines, etc., by melt spinning polyvinylidene fluoride, and drawing the resultant undrawn monofilament at specific temperatures and a specific overall draw into in two stages for specific times of passing through liquid heat medium baths. CONSTITUTION:Polyvinylidene fluoride is melt spun and cooled to prepare an undrawn monofilament, which is first drawn at a temperature (T1) satisfying (Tm-60 deg.C)-Tm [Tm is the melting point ( deg.C) of the polyvinylidene fluoride] at 4.0-6.0 draw ratio (E1) in a liquid heat medium bath in the first stage of two stages and then drawn at a temperature (T2) satisfying (Tm-30 deg.C)-(Tm+ 20 deg.C) in a liquid heat medium bath to a draw ratio (E2) giving >=5.5 overall draw ratio (E1XE2) in the second stage to give the aimed drawn monofilament having 0.05-0.75mm. diameter (D). In the process, the time (t1) of passing through the drawing bath in the first stage and time (t2) of passing through the drawing both in the second stage are controlled under conditions satisfying formulas I and II to afford the above-mentioned aimed monofilament.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:High-strength fiber for rubber reinforcement that is made by melt spinning a polymer mainly consisting of ethylene terephthalate units under specific cooling conditions at a certain taking-up speed and by drawing at a specific draw ratio, thus showing remarkably improved fatigue resistance as well as high elasticity and low shrinkage. CONSTITUTION:A polymer containing more than 90mol% ethylene terephthalate units is melt spun, taken up at a speed of higher than 2Km/min, while the part right under the spinneret is surrounded with a heating or insulation chimney so that the optical birefringence of the fiber satisfies the equation (V is taking- up speed in Km/min). Then, the resultant fiber is drawn 1.4-3.5 times its original length. The fiber product has 100g/d or higher initial tensile resistance, less than 15g/d terminal modulus, less than 8% ratio of dry heat shrinkage/polymer intrinsic viscosity, more than 0.93 fc crystal orientation function, less than 0.92 amorphous molecule orientation, more than 47Angstrom crystal size and less than 145Angstrom long period.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce synthetic resin netting material in which only partitioned longitudinal portions are composed of larger mesh and the joint portions are strong by a method wherein a distributing plate is provided so as to control flow rate of polymer directly over the 1st and the 2nd mouth piece. CONSTITUTION:There is provided the 2nd mouth piece 2 having the same hole diameter as that of the opening 3 and capable of rotating so that the 1st mouth piece 1 having multiple openings 3 of the same hole diameter may be encircled. Directly above the mouth pieces 1, 2 is provided a distributing plate 5 fixed to a stational member 6 which is burnished with polymer passages 7 comprising multiple small polymer passages 7a, multiple large polymer passages 7b and multiple polymer passages 7c with a comparatively increased density of holes. On the lower side are provided polymer reservoirs 8a, 8b, 8c connected with passages 7a, 7b, 7c, a partition plate 9 are equipped between the reservoirs 8a, 8b, 8c, the reservoir 8c is divided by multiple partition plates 9c, 9c', 9c'' so as to form the polymer reservoirs 8c divided by multiple sections corresponding to the passages 7c.
