Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high adhesiveness between aromatic polyamide fiber material for reinforcing rubber and rubber, by treating cords comprising aromatic polyamide fiber with plasma, treating the cords with a solution containing RFL and a specific compound and heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:Cords comprising aromatic polyamide fiber, woven and knitted goods are treated with plasma to activate the surface of fiber, treated with a solution containing RFL and a compound shown by formula I [X and Y are Cl, Br, H, OH, SH, 1-8C alkyl, aryl, etc.; Z is group shown by formula II (R3 and R4 are H or 1-8C alkyl) or Sx (x is 1-8); n is 0 or 1-15], dried and heat-treated. By this method, an aromatic polyamide fiber material having all excellent adhesiveness of initial bonding, water-resistant bonding and initial rubber bonding is obtained.
