    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a compsn. capable of developing with water and is useful for the photosensitive layer of the letterpress printing, intaglio printing, and lithographic press by composing the compsn. of completely or partially saponified polyvinyl acetate and photopolymerizable monomer having ethylenic unsatd. bond in the molecule, etc. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin compsn. of this invention is constituted of component A, B, C described hereunder. The component A: 100pts.wt. completely of partially saponified polyvinyl acetate having 50-100mol% degree of saponification. The component B: 20-200pts.wt. photopolymerizable monomer having ethylenic unsatd. bond in the molecule. The component C: 1-50pts.wt. polymer obtd. by homopolymerizing a polymerizable unsatd. monomer having residues expressed by the structural formulas ( I ) and (II) in the molecule or by compolymerizing the monomer with other unsatd. monomer. The average degree of polymn. of most preferred completely or partially saponified polyvinyl acetate for the component A is 500-3,000. >=2 kinds of compd. having different degree of saponification or degree of polymn. for the component A may be used in combination.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a paste applied layer on a whole surface with a uniform height without raising an end of the paste applied layer, by outwardly expanding a paste-delivering groove toward the tip of the delivering groove. SOLUTION: When a paste is applied from a delivering groove, by outwardly expanding the delivering groove toward the tip of the delivering groove, a paste applied layer can be stably formed with a uniform height without raising an end of the applied paste-applied-layer. Since the delivering groove is constituted so that spacer width at each tip of it is L longer than spacer width (c) in a manifold region, the paste having traveled in an upper part of a land region with a uniform height further expands outward by the width L at the tips of the delivering groove. Therefore, thickness of the both ends of the paste delivered from the tip of the base is reduced. As a result, the paste applied layer with a uniform height without raising both ends of the paste applied layer after the application can be formed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge-image-developing liquid toner, which can improve "k-, developing density and provide a good-resolution image that is free of flowing and crushing, and in which toner particles composed chiefly of a resin and a coloring agent are dispersed in the carrier liquid of petroleum aliphatic hydrocarbon, by making the liquid toner contain a specific amount of water in relation to nonvolatile components. SOLUTION: An electrostatic charge-image-developing liquid toner, in which toner particles A composed chiefly of a resin and a coloring agent are dispersed in the carrier liquid of petroleum aliphatic hydrocarbon, contains not less than 0.1wt.% to not more than 3.0wt.% water in relation to nonvolatile components. The carrier liquid used in the liquid toner is preferably a petroleum aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent. The toner particles are composed chiefly of a resin and a pigment or dye, and are desirably colored particles in which the pigment is dispersed in the resin. The rate of the pigment in the particles is desirably not less than 5wt.% to not more than 30wt.%. Desirably, the resin has an acid number of not less than 20 to not more than 250.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve thermal stability of a completely saponified or partially saponified polyvinylacetate photosensitive resin compsn. soln. and its photosensitive resin printing plate and to improve productivity of the molding process and storage property of the printing plate by constituting the compsn. of specified four components. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. consists of at least the following components. These are 100 pts.wt. of completely saponified or partially saponified polyvinyl acetate having 50-100mol% saponification degree, 20-300 pts.wt. of photopolymerizable unsatd. compd. having ethylenical double bonds in the molecule, 0.1-10 pts.wt. of photopolynm. initiator, and 0.01-5 pts.wt. of a metal phosphate. As for the metal phosphate, alkali metal salt such as lithium or sodium hypophosphite is used. By adding a small amt. of metal phosphate, thermal stability of the compsn. is significantly improved so that compsn. can be molded at a high temp. as 90 to 100 deg.C. Further, by this method, casting of the photosensitive resin compsn. soln. of a high concentration or high temp drying of the compsn. are possible.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a bulkhead with high film thickness uniformity and surface flatness with good productivity by applying a glass plate containing glass powder and an organic binder by a method of discharging it through a base having a slit, and then performing a pattern working. SOLUTION: For applying a glass paste by discharging it through a base having a slit, for example, slit die coating is adapted. According to this method, no waste solution is produced, since only the necessary glass paste quantity can be applied, and the uniformity of the paste film thickness can be enhanced by regulating the discharge quantity at the beginning and the end of the application. A barrier layer can be formed with one-time application. However, the applicability is much affected by the base form, clearance and the like. Therefore, the ratio of the slit space (spacer thickness) of the base A to the clearance B between the base and a substrate is preferably set to 6>=A/B>=0.2.
