    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a combined filament conjugate yarn giving a woven or knit fabric having dry touch, excellent drapability and spun-like feeling, its production process and a woven or knit fabric having water-absorbability. CONSTITUTION:This combined filament conjugate yarn is a polyester multifilament yarn composed of two or more kinds of monofilaments having different cross-sectional forms and dispersed and blended with each other. At least one kind of the monofilament has a cross-section free from concave part and the other monofilaments have 2-8 concaves on the cross-section. A gap is formed between the cross-sections of the monofilaments when at least one kind of the monofilament free from concave on the cross-section is brought into contact with at least one kind of the monofilament having concave part on the cross-section. The combined filament yarn has an Uster unevenness U% of 1.5-15 and a boiling water shrinkage of 8-15%. This invention also relates to the production process for the combined filament yarn and a woven or knit fabric made of the yarn.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for stably and inexpensively producing a low shrinkable polyester filament. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of this method for producing a polyester filament is to draw an undrawn polyester filament 1 at a prescribed temperature in a drawing treatment region D, thermally treat the drawn filament Y with a crape-finishing drawing roller 5 heated at a higher temperature than the drawing temperature, and to subsequently subject the drawn filament to a relaxation treatment set to a relaxation constant (r) of 1-6%.
