    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, having remarkably improved slipperiness while keeping excellent flatness as tapes, etc., by blending a specific aliphatic hydroxy acid ester as a lubricant. CONSTITUTION:A polyester composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. polyester having main recurring units consisting of ethylene terephthalate with 0.05-2.0pts.wt. aliphatic hydroxy acid ester, having at least one hydroxyl group and consisting of a >=10C aliphatic hydroxy acid component and a >=15C aliphatic alcohol component. About 30-70C octadecyl 3-hydroxydecanoate, docosyl 12-hydroxyoctadecanoate, etc., are used as the above-mentioned ester.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having excellent antistatic properties regardless of an atmosphere, by blending a polyalkylene glycol with a metal sulfonate derivative and aromatic amine (ammonium salt). CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. polyester with (A) 0.1-20pts.wt. polyalkylene glycol, (B) 0.05-20.0pts.wt. metal sulfonate derivative and (C) >=0.01pt.wt. aromatic amine and/or ammonium salt thereof. Polyethylene glycol having 1,000-20,000 average mol.wt. is used as the component (A). Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, etc., are preferred as the component (B) and tertiary amines are preferred as the component (C).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title polymer which can give moldings such as films and fibers excellent in surface smoothness and slidability without troubles, by transesterifying a dicarboxylic acid (derivative) with a glycol in the presence of a specified long-chain alkyl group-containing esterifiable compound. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. dicarboxylic acid (derivative) (A) [e.g., terephthalic acid (dimethyl ester)] is transesterified with, e.g., 70pts.wt. glycol (B) (e.g., ethylene glycol) and 0.001-30wt% (based on the polyester) 6C or higher long-chain alkyl group-containing esterifiable compound (C) selected from among an aliphatic carboxylic acid anhydride (e.g., 2-octadecylsuccinic anhydride), a lactone (e.g., tau-stearolactone) and an epoxide (e.g., 1,2-eicosylene oxide) in the presence of, optionally, external or internal particles (D) such as calcium carbonate, TiO2 and silica.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make plane properties favourable by making a difference in water contents between the central part and an end part of a film even under a state where humidity is high, by a method wherein a difference between humidityproof parameter within 5cm from an end part of a polyester film having width of at least 500mm and humidityproof parameter of the central part is made 0.07wt.% or less and an arithmatic mean roughness Ra value is made 10-28nm. CONSTITUTION:A difference between humidityproof parameter within 5cm from an end part of a polyester film having width of at least 500mm and humidityproof parameter of the central part is made 0.07wt.% or less. Furthermore, an arithmetic mean roughness value Ra is made 10-28nm, plane properties of a film is made favourable and processing properties of various coating agents are made excellent.
