    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raised cloth having improved spinnability while keeping the multicolor property. SOLUTION: The raised cloth is produced by using a raising yarn consisting of a spun yarn obtained from a core-sheath conjugate staple fiber composed of sheath component comprising a copolyester containing ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit and copolymerized with a component containing a metal sulfonate group and a core component comprising a polyethylene terephthalate and a polyester staple fiber having a dyeability different from that of the core-sheath conjugate staple fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the high-quality polyamide tow with animal hair-like touch, having good stretch breaking nature by melt spinning of nylon 66 dope followed by cooling and solidification and then oiling the resultant fibers with a lubricant containing both surfactant and inert fine particles so as to result in a specified amount of the inert fine particles attached to the fibers. CONSTITUTION:Nylon 66 dope containing 0.25wt.% of titanium dioxide is put to melt spinning through a spinneret heated to 285 deg.C and taken up at a speed of 1200m/min to form an undrawn subtow. A plural number of such subtows are then put in parallel into an undrawn tow, which is, in turn, put through a bath where a lubricant containing a surfactant (e.g. lauryl alcohol-based phosphoric ester potassium salt) and inert fine particles (e.g. silica) is placed, to provide oiling treatment. Thence, the resulting tow is put in between a pair of rubber nip rollers to control the pickup of the inert fine particles on the fibers so as to come to 0.1-1.0wt.% based on the fibers. Thence, the tows are drawn in steam by a factor of 3.5 and heat treated on a drum at 170 deg.C and then crimped, thus obtaining the objective polyamide tow

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing method for synthetic staple effective for reducing emergency stop relating to entanglements by installing a guide having a specific shape. SOLUTION: In a production process for synthetic staple drawing and heat treating after melt spinning a thermoplastic polymer, a ctenoid shaped guide 4 is installed before guiding the undrawn fiber to the drawing process and tearing off the entanglements by this ctenoid shaped guide 4 before entering to the drawing machine.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the polyamide tow capable of stretch-breaking spinning in a high productivity by applying a surfactant and a specific amount of inert fine particles on the filament surface and a sufficient amount of silver- substituted antimicrobial zeolite in the filament. CONSTITUTION:The polyamide filament tow has a surfactant and inert fine particles on the surface and contains silver-substituted antimicrobial zeolite inside. The inert fine particles are preferably silica or the like. The particle pick-up is 0.01 to 1.0wt.% preferably 0.05 to 0.5wt.%, based on the fibers and enough to lower the abrasion resistance between the filaments on stretch breakage. The content of the silver-substituted zeolite depends on the amount of silver, and usually 0.01 to 20wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 2wt.%, based on the fiber.
