    Abstract: An amino-Schiff's base, of formula (I), and/or a diaminoketone (II) having formula NH2(CH2)n-CO-(CH2)n-NH2 (where n is integer 3-11), is/are prepd. from a raw material consisting of 4-12C omega-lactams, their oligomers, their ring-opened polymers and/or corresp. omega-aminocarboxylic acids. Process comprises (a) heating the raw material with water and a carbonate of Li, Ca and/or Ba in a reactor heated to 60-350 deg.C, removing CO2 generated and recovering a metal salt, (III), of an omega-aminocarboxylic acid. (b) (III) is heated to 250-550 deg.C and converted to (I) and/or (II). A carbonate of Li, Ca and/or Ba is also generated. (c) The metal carbonate formed in (b) is returned to step (a), for further use. Provision of salt-forming step (a) forms a use for the by-prod. formed in (b). Water addn. in (a) prevents cyclisation.

    Abstract: An omega -lactam having 4-12 carbon atoms, an oligomer thereof or a ring-opened polymer or an omega -amino carboxylic acid corresponding thereto, is heated in the presence of water and a metallic carbonate compound to obtain a metallic salt of omega -amino carboxylic acid. Barium, calcium and lithium are the preferred metals. The resulting metal salt is converted to an amino Schiff base which may be used as a starting material for preparing an alpha , omega -diamino alkane which may or may not include an amino group as a side chain. This further produces a metallic carbonate compound. The metallic carbonate is returned and used again as a reagent for forming the metal salt of the omega -amino carboxylic acid to create a closed system.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent air sucker device capable of not only preventing foreign materials from sticking due to contact of filament groups with a filament suction port and improving the production operating ratio but also remarkably improving the grade or yield of a nonwoven fabric product and an apparatus and a method for producing the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This air sucker device is obtained by mounting a positioning guide 8 for controlling a position for passing filament groups 2 therethrough in the nearly central part of a suction port 9 therein in the air sucker device composed of the filament suction port 9 for the plural filament groups 2 melt spun from a spinneret 1, an ejector 3 for drawing the sucked filament groups 2 at a prescribed ratio and a guide pipe 4 for leading the filament groups 2. The apparatus for producing a nonwoven fabric is equipped with the sucker device on a filament accumulation net 5. The method for producing the nonwoven fabric is to produce the nonwoven fabric by using the apparatus for producing the nonwoven fabric.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain th title substance convertible into monomers for high polymers readily in high yield, and to separate and recover the unused LiOH and by-product Li2CO3 easily, by dry distillation of a lactam having a specific membered ring in the presence of LiOH. CONSTITUTION:A 5-13 membered ring lactam, its ring opening polymer, or omega-aminoalkanecarboxylic acid, which is a ring opening monomer, is dried up by distillation in the presence of available LiOH monohydrate (a basic decomposer) in a molar amount 1-2.5 times that of the raw material, decarboxylated, and dimerized under heating to give an amino-Schiff base of the formula (n is an integer 3-11). After the reaction is completed, the solid residue is washed with water and/or a lower alcohol to recover the unreacted LiOH and to purify the by-product Li2CO3. EFFECT:Short reaction time and a small amount of LiOH. USE:An intermediate for preparing alpha,omega-diaminoalkanes, etc.
