Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymeric sheet being the cover sheet of a PVA type polarizer having strong adhesive force with the PVA type polarizer and capable of developing stable polarizing characteristics even if allowed to stand for a long time under a high temperature and high humidity condition, and the excellent polymeric sheet obtained by this method. SOLUTION: The polymeric sheet is manufactured by laminating a polymer B layer peelable from a polymeric resin A layer on at least the single surface of the polymeric resin layer A by melt extrusion molding to form a laminate BA or BAB and, after at least one layer B is peeled from the laminate, surface activation treatment is applied to the layer A being in contact with the layer B and further providing a surface coating layer C on the surface activated treatment layer. Surface activation treatment is applied to the surface to be peeled of the polymeric resin layer A from which the laminated polymer layer B is peeled and the surface coating layer C is provided to the surface activation treatment surface.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizer by which a beautiful picture whose color contrast and hue are not deteriorated and which is not blurred can be realized for a long period of time even when the polarizer is used as a liquid crystal display element under a condition of high temperature and high humidity for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This polarizer is manufactured by impregnating and letting adsorbe a polarizing element in a polymer film in a supercritical state.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost isotropic sheet for optical use having no surface defect, optical isotropy, advanced gas barrier performance, high wear resistance, excellent conductivity, uniform in a quality and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The isotropic sheet for optical use is 5 nm or less in retardation(Rd), 160 deg.C or higher in glass transition temperature, and 200 μ or more in thickness, and is manufactured by the melt extrusion of a laminated sheet BAB, wherein a polymer layer B is attached to both sides of an optical isotropic sheet-constituting polymeric resin layer A with the layers B peelable from the layer A, with the laminated sheet BAB to be closely attached to a cooling drum upon melt extrusion. In this method, the glass transition temperature Tgb of the layer B should be not lower than the glass transition temperature of the layer A (Tga-70) deg.C in the laminated sheet and the laminated sheet should be attached closely to the drum with its temperature kept at between (Tgb-50) deg.C or higher and (Tgb+30) deg.C or lower.
