CYCLIC COMPOUNDS HAVING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FORMULAS: OR ARE DESCRIBED, WHERE N IS AN INTEGER NOT LESS THAN 4, AND THE UNSATURATIONS OF SAID COMPOUNDS EXHIBIT TRANS CONFIGURATIONS. THESES COMPOUNDS ARE PRODUCED BY A PROCESS COMPRISING REACTING BUTADIENE IN THE PRESENCE OF BOTH A NICKEL-HYDROGEN COORDINATION COMPLEX AND A HALOGENATED NICKEL-HYDROCARBON COORDINATION COMPLEX.

Abstract:
A water-proofing sheet having high hydraulic pressure resistance and high moisture permeability and having a wet type coagulation polyurethane film on the surface of a cloth. A clay organic composite member containing quaternary ammonium ions introduced between layers of swellable laminar silicates is dispersed in the wet coagulation polyurethane film 0.5 to 20 wt% on the basis of the solid content of the polyurethane, the hydraulic pressure resistance is at least 5,000 mm and permeability is at least 8,000 g/m 24 hrs. Polyurethane is dissolved in a solvent consisting mainly of a nitrogen-containing polar solvent, and a solution prepared by dispersing the clay organic composite member containing the quaternary ammonium ions between the layers of the swellable laminar silicate 0.5 to 20 wt% on the basis of the solid content of the polyurethane is applied to a cloth, and the cloth is immersed in a coagulation bath to coagulate the polyurethane. Thereafter, washing with water and drying are carried out to prepare the water-proofing sheet.

A platinum complex represented by the formula: wherein R is a (C1 - 18) alkyl group, a (C1 - 18)-alkenyl group or a group @@ -X @@R in which X is -CH=CH- or a (C1 - 5) alkylene group, and R is a phenyl group, a hydroxyphenyl group, a (C7 - 12) alkoxyphenyl group, a halogenophenyl group, a nitrophenyl group, or (C8 - 13) alkoxycarbonylphenyl group, a cyclohexyl group having a (C1 - 5) alkyl substituent, R is a (C1 - 18) alkyl group, R is a hydrogen atom, or R and R are linked together to form a (C2 - 7) alkylene group; R is OH or NO3; the dotted line indicates that the bond may be either a single bond or a double bond; the chain line indicates a conjugated system; n is a number of from 1 to 2, and the 1,2-diaminocyclohexane moiety has a cis- trans- l - or trans-d-configuration.
