Abstract: The high polymerization degree polyetheresteramides without any gelated materials and with superior color tones are obtained in a short time through the polycondensing interaction carried out between (A) one or more than two polyamide forming components selected from lactams and aminocarboxylic acids as well as the salts of substantially-equal quantities of diamines and dicarboxylic acid and (B) the polyetherester forming components consisting of the substantially-equal quantities of dicarboxylic acids and poly(alkylene oxide) glycols in the presence of 0.001 to 0.5 percent by weight of the mixtures composed of antimony oxides/organic tin compounds at the ratios of 80/20 to 30/70 by weight and more preferably in the co-presence of 0.0005 to 0.5 percent by weight of phosphoric compounds.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled amide having a high degree of polymerization and a low gel-like foreign matter content within a short time, by polycondensing a specified polyamide-forming component with a polyether-ester-forming compound in the presence of antimony oxide. CONSTITUTION:A polyether-ester-amide of a number-average MW>=15,000 is obtained by charging a reaction vessel with 99-5wt% at least one polyamide- forming compound selected from among a lactam, an aminocarboxylic acid and a salt between substantially equivalent amounts of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid (e.g., aminododecanoic acid), 1-95wt% polyether-ester-forming component between substantially equivalent amounts of a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid and a poly(alkylene oxide) glcyol of a number-average MW of 300-5,000 and a small amount of a P compound, agitating the contents in the vessel by heating to 180-300 deg.C under a nitrogen stream to form a homogeneous mixture, adding 0.001-0.5wt% antimony oxide (e.g., Sb2O3) to this mixture and polycondensing the monomers in a molten state at 200-300 deg.C for 30min-10hr in a vacuum of 50mm.Hg or below.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A flexibilized resin composition, obtained by incorporating a polyether ester amide with polyvinyl cloride, and having improved flame retardancy, low and high temperature characteristics and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition obtained by incorporating 5-95wt% polyether ester amide, constituted of a >=6C aminocarboxylic acid or lactam, preferably 11-aminoundecanoic acid or 12-aminododecanoic acid, a poly(alkylene oxide)glycol having a number-average molecular weight of 300-6,000, preferably poly(tetramethylene oxide)glycol, 4-20C dicarboxylic acid preferably terephthalic acid or sebacic acid, etc., and having a melting point of 70-200 deg.C with 95- 5wt% polyvinyl chloride. The polyether ester amide is preferably prepared by charging the three components simultaneously into a reactor, melt mixing the components, and polymerizing the components in one step in a high vacuum.

Preferred component (a) are 11-aminoundecanoic acid and 12- amino-dodecanoic acid.

CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 15-95wt% of polyester-ether-amide consisting of an aminoacid or lactam of 6 or more carbon atoms or a salt of diamines and dicarboxylic acids of 6 or more carbon atoms, preferably 11-aminoundecanoic acid or 12-aminododecanoic acid, of poly(alkylene oxide)glycol, preferably poly(tetramethyleneoxide)glycol and dicarboxylic acids of 4-20 carbon atoms and (B) 85-5wt% of an olefin copolymer from alpha-olefins and/or nonconjugated diene, preferably of 5-24 carbon atoms, and ethylene, preferably the concentration of the ethylene component is 20-74.5wt% and its melting point is lower than 85 deg.C.

CONSTITUTION:(A) A dicarboxylpolyamide prepolymer having terminal carboxyl groups, optimally 500-5,000mol.wt. is polycondensed with (B) a poly(alkylene oxide)glycol, optimally poly(tetramethylene oxide)glycol in the molten state in the presence of an organotin compound, optimally monobutylmonohydroxytin oxide, in an amount of 0.01-0.2wt% expressed in terms of tin atoms based on the polyether ester as a catalyst. EFFECT:A polyamide with a low gel content is obtained in a short time.

CONSTITUTION:A polyether-ester-amide of a number-average MW>=15,000 is obtained by mixing while heating a polyamide-forming component selected from among a lactam, an aminocarboxylic acid and a salt comprising substantially equivalent amounts of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid (e.g., aminododecanoic acid) with a polyether-ester-forming compound comprising substantially equimolar amounts of a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid and a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol under a N2 stream, adding 0.001-0.5wt% mixture comprising 80-30wt% Sb2O3 and 20-70wt% organotin compound (e.g., mono-n-butylmonohydroxytin oxide) and, optionally, 0.0005-0.1wt% P compound to the above mixture and polycondensing the monomers in a molten state at 200-300 deg.C in a vacuum of 50mm.Hg or below.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having high polymerization degree in a short time, without causing gelation, discoloration and increase in haze, by the polycondensation of a polyamide-forming component with a polyether ester-forming component in the presence of a specific tin compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer can be produced by carrying out the polycondensation reaction of (A) a polyamide-forming component selected from lactam, aminocarboxylic acid and a salt of essentially equivalent diamine and dicarboxylic acid with (B) a polyether ester-forming component comprising essentially equivalent dicarboxylic acid and poly(alkylene oxide) glycol, in molten state, in the presence of (C) a monoalkyl tin compound or monoaryl tin compound. The amount of the tin compound is 0.005-0.5wt%, preferably 0.01- 0.2wt% in terms of tin atom based on the polyether ester amide.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition imparted with oil resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and high-temperature mechanical characteristics, by adding a polyepoxide having >=2 functional groups to a polyether-ester-amide. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyether-ester-amide with (B) 0.5-100pts.wt., preferably 1- 75pts.wt. of a polyepoxide having >=2 functional groups. The component (A) is preferably a poly(tetramethyleneoxide)-glycol having a molecular weight of 500-1,500. A polyepoxide compound or a polyglycidyl compound obtained by the epoxidization of an olefin is useful as the component (B). The mixing of the two components is carried out preferably by melt blending or solution blending.
