    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for a magnetic recording medium less liable to crease in vacuum deposition, capable of preventing creasing even in high-speed vacuum deposition and capable of enhancing the productivity of a magnetic recording tape. SOLUTION: The polyester film for a metallic thin film type magnetic recording medium has 2 to 10 μm thickness, 1 to 5 nm SRa of one surface A on which a magnetic layer is disposed, 10 to 20 nm SRa of the other surface B, 4,400 to 5,000 N/mm2 Young's modulus in the longitudinal direction, 6,100 to 6,900 N/mm2 Young's modulus in the transverse direction, 0.4 to 0.9% heat shrinkage percentage at 100 deg.C in 30 min in both longitudinal and transverse directions, -0.5 to +0.2% TMA at 100 deg.C in the transverse direction and -1.5 to -0.5% TMA at 150 deg.C in the transverse direction.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve voltage resistance, which has been a problem for a PPS film excellent in capacitor properties such as heat resistance and dielectric properties, without deteriorating the processability of a capacitor. SOLUTION: A polyphenylene sulfide laminated film for capacitors in which a layer comprising an amorphous polyester resin composition of at least 150 deg.C softening temperature is laminated at least on one side of a polyphenylene sulfide film and a capacitor made by a process in which a metal layer are formed at least on one side of the laminated film and they are wound or laminated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic recording card which has very high reliability by using polyester film which has a heat shrinkage factor that is in a specific range and has the coefficient of thermal expansion which is in a specific range. SOLUTION: The heat shrinkage factor of polyester film to be used at 50 deg.C for 120 minutes is -0.05 to 0.05%, preferably 0 to 0.1%. The heat shrinkage factor at 70 deg.C for 120 minutes is -0.1 to 0.1%, preferably 0 to 0.1%. Also, the coefficient of thermal expansion is in the range of 6×10 to 26×10 (1/ deg.C), and the anisotropy of the coefficient of thermal expansion is preferably below 10×10 (1/ deg.C). Polyester which constitutes polyester film is virtually linear polyester. Its main acid component and glycol component are aromatic dicarboxylic acid and aliphatic glycol respectively. As an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component, e.g. terephthalic acid, etc., are used, and as aliphatic glycol, e.g. ethylene glycol, etc., are used.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of surface defects in a film forming process and working processes such as a magnetic layer applying by giving specific surface roughness and friction coefficient between films with each other to the film for a high density floppy disk having thin film thickness and smooth surface. SOLUTION: The film is made of a polyester resin which has 0.05 to 1.0wt.% particles of >=0.05 to =1.5μm average grain size and, further, the film has 25 to 70μm thickness, 4 to 12nm center line average surface roughness (Ra) on both film surfaces, 0.55 to 0.8 static friction coefficient and 0.35 to 0.53 dynamic friction coefficient between the films.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a film excellent in molding processability, aroma retention and impact resistance by laminating two kinds of resin layers containing an impact absorbing layer. CONSTITUTION:A film for laminating a metal is a two-layered laminated film composed of resins A, B and the B-layer is an impact absorbing layer. As a concrete example of the A-layer/B-layer laminated film, a laminate consisting of different kinds of resins such as nylon resin/polyester, polyester resin/ polyethylene or polyester resin/particle highly filled polyester resin is designated. Herein, the intrinsic viscosity IVB of the B-layer being the impact absorbing layer and the intrinsic viscosity IVA of the A-layer pref. satisfy the relation of IVA>=IVB+0.05. The melt peak temp. TA( deg.C) of the A-layer and the melt peak temp. TB( deg.C) of the B-layer pref. satisfy TA>=TB+1. By this constitution, a film excellent in deep drawing processability, impact resistance and taste and aroma retention can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a non-crystalline polyolefin film excellent in surface smoothness and mechanical characteristics without deteriorating optical characteristics such as double refraction by laminating a layer of non-crystalline polyolefin with a low MW to at least the single surface of a layer of a non-crystalline polyolefin polymet with a high MW in thickness of 0.1mum or more. CONSTITUTION:A non-crystalline polyolefin film is constituted by laminating a layer composed of a non-crystalline polyolefin polymer B with a low MW to at least the single surface of a layer composed of a non-crystralline polymer A with a high MW in thickness of 0.1mum or more. The non-crystalline polyolefin polymer B is laminated to the single surface or both surfaces of the layer of the polymer A but pref. laminated to both surfaces thereof because the curl of the film after molding is prevented and effect for reducing double refraction is shown. The thickness of one layer of the polymer B is 0.1mum or more and 20% or less of the whole thickness of the film from an aspect keeping the mechanical strength of the film as a whole and making the surface of the film sufficiently smooth.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness irregularity and bowing of a film and to enhance the blocking resistance thereof by pref. laminating a polyester film with specific DELTATcg to both surfaces of a highly crystalline polyester film with specific DELTATcg. CONSTITUTION:A laminated film is formed by laminating polyester film B-layers to both surfaces of a highly crystalline polyester film A-layer in a state B/A/B. It is necessary that the crystallizing parameter DELTATcg of a highly crystalline polyester film A is 25-45 deg.C and said film A is pref. based on polybutylene terephthalate. The DELTATcg of the polyester film B-layers is pref. 50 deg.C or higher. The thickness of the highly crystalline A-layer is pref. 4-14% with respect to the total thickness of the laminated polyester film. No effect is developed when the thickness of the highly crystalline polyester film A-layer is below 4% and, when said thickness exceeds 14%, the stretchability of the film becomes inferior.
