PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film having two contradictory characteristics, i.e., high rigidity and low heat shrinkage and having better processing characteristics than those of conventional biaxially oriented polypropylene film because of higher tensile strength in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polypropylene film is characterized in that it comprises mainly a highly stereoregular polypropylene having a mesopentad fraction of 97-99.5% and contains at least one of petroleum resins having substantially no polar group and/or terpene resins having substantially no polar group and that the sum of the modulus in tension in the longitudinal direction and that in the widthwise direction at ordinary temperature is at least 7.3 GPa.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially stretched polypropylene film having a high rigidity of a longitudinal direction of the film and a method for manufacturing the same, by using a general purpose longitudinal and lateral sequentially biaxially stretching method, and to provide a packaging material using the same and a package. SOLUTION: The biaxially stretched polypropylene film has a Young's modulus (Y(MD)) of a longitudinal direction at 25°C of 2.5 GPa or more, and its value (m) represented by a formula: m=Y(MD)/(Y(MD)+Y(TD)) of Y(MD) and a Young's modulus (Y(TD)) of a widthwise direction is in a range of 0.4 to 0.7 at 25°C. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film that, when subjected to widely-practiced longitudinal/lateral sequential biaxial stretching, has a high rigidity in the longitudinal direction and a high dimensional stability, and a high moisture proofness. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polypropylene film comprises mixing polypropylene (A) having a mesopentad fraction of 94-99.5%, and satisfying the relationship represented by formula (1): log(MS)>-0.61 log(MFR)+0.52 as to melt strength (MS) measured at 230 deg.C and a melt flow rate (MFR), with at least one of an additive which is compatible with the polypropylene and impartable a plasticizing effect upon the orientation.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-fused printed laminate which has strong adhesive force at a low temperature and under low pressure and excellent high speed lamination properties, is free from delamination between resin layers, does not need a solvent removing apparatus and a recovery apparatus or the like since no anchor coating agent is used, and is excellent in lamination processing properties and surface smoothness. SOLUTION: An adhesive ethylenic resin layer (C layer) which contains an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer and/or an ethylene-acrylate copolymer and has a main melting peak temperature of 80°C or below and a melt flow rate (MFR) at 190°C of 30-100 g/10 min is laminated on one side of a polypropylene film substrate (A layer). An MT value calculated from the formula: MT [MT=E MD /(E MD +E TD )] (wherein E MD is the Young's modulus in the longitudinal direction of the film and E TD is the Young's modulus in the width direction of the film) is 0.4-0.7. SOLUTION: The polyolefin film is formed by laminating a polyolefin film (B layer) on at least one side of a biaxially oriented polyolefin film (A layer). The B layer has a ratio Rmax/Ra in a range of 5-15 where Rmax is a maximum surface roughness, Ra is a center line average surface roughness, and the number of ridges SPc per 0.1 mm2 on the surface is 10 or more. A sum of Young's moduli in a longer direction and a widthwise direction of the film is 1.5 GPa or less.

SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polypropylene film for metallization has a tensile elastic modulus of 3.5 GPA or more in its longitudinal direction at the normal temperature and constituted by laminating an easy adhesive layer (B-layer) on at least the single surface of a resin layer (A-layer) comprising a composition prepared by mixing at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a petroleum resin substantially containing no polar group and a terpene resin substantially containing no polar group with highly steroregular polypropylene with a meso pentad ratio of 97-99.5%. The metallized film thereof and the package using the same are also disclosed.
