    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture polyester oriented film having few uneven thickness at a high efficiency by providing polyester containing at least one of alkaline metal, alkaline earth metal, zinc, manganese and a compound of them, preparing a sheet constituting low specific resistance polyester bonded or laminated with both ends of high specific resistance, out of which electrostatic charge is separated, cooling down and solidifying same with a moving cooling material and orienting. CONSTITUTION:0.005-1wt% of at least one of alkaline metal, alkaline earth metal, zinc, manganese and a compound of them is contained in polyester. A compound of them is contained in polyester. Polyester A making specific resistance 2X10 -5X10 OMEGA.cm at 285 deg.C, and polyester B whose specific resistance is set at 1/100-1/5 of polyester A at 285 deg.C, are melted respectively into a sheet made by bonding or laminating polyester B to both ends of polyester A. Electrostatic charge is separated, cooled and solidified by a moving cooling material, and then the sheet is oriented to manufacture a polyester oriented film.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attempt the speed-up of film manufacture and to obtain a film of uniform thickness having excellent dielectric strength by laminating two kinds of polyester films having different characteristics each other in a specified thickness, separating out static charges to solidify the lamination by cooling and drawing it. CONSTITUTION:A polyester (A) containing 0.005 to 1wt% of at least one compounds selected from alkali metal, alkali earth metal, zinc and manganese compounds and whose specific resistance at 285 deg.C is higher than 1X10 OMEGA, and lower than 2X10 OMEGA, and a polyester (B) whose specific resistance at 285 deg.C is higher than 2X10 OMEGA and lower than 5X10 OMEGA are melted respectively. The polyesters (A), (B) extruded from extruders 9, 10 are joined and laminated and the resultant sheet is co-extruded from a nozzle 1 as a laminated sheet 2 whose thickness ratio (A)/(B) is 5 to 95T. High voltage is impressed between an electrode 4 and a cooling drum 5 by means of an apparatus 3 for generating direct current high voltage. Static charges are separated out on the laminated sheet 2 co-extruded from the nozzle 1, which is thereafter cooled a s solidified to become an undrawn sheet, which is then drawn by means of a longitudinal drawing apparatus 6 and a laterial drawing apparatus 7 to obtain a drawn film.
