    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an elevator at its optimum travel pattern based on its environmental conditions and operational states. SOLUTION: An elevator controller comprises environmental information measuring means 15 for measuring environmental information about an elevator including temperature and time, operational information storing means 16 for storing therein operational information about the elevator including the operation period, operation number and standby period thereof, state determining means 14 for determining the states of the elevator based on the operational information thus obtained, and a travel pattern preparing means 13 for preparing a travel pattern based on the results thus obtained by the determining means and feeding it to the elevator. The controller thus operates the elevator at its optimum travel pattern even if its responsiveness in speed deteriorates because of a higher viscosity of oil at lower temperature.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a smooth door opening and closing operation possible with a simplified composition. SOLUTION: The elevator controller is composed of a controlling means 17, which is loaded with a microcomputer controlling an electric motor 2 for elevating an elevator car and an electric motor 3 for opening and closing an elevator door by receiving elevator control signals from the microcomputer 12, and the like, an electric motor main circuit 18 for supplying both electric motors 2, 3 with driving power by the control signal, and an electronic switch 19 switching over supply of driving power to the respective motors 2, 3. Composition is simplified and a smooth door opening and closing operation become possible because both electric motors 2, 3 are controlled by switching over from one to the other by the electronic switch 19 without providing a resisting control type controlling means exclusively for the electric motor 3 for opening and closing the elevator door as required heretofore. Similar effect is gainable by composing both electric motors 2, 3 so as to be simultaneously controlled by a single controlling means 17.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To save energy and attain rapidness by fixing a counterweight and a car to a rotatable fixed pulley supported to a self-supporting tower, and moving a fluid plunger vertically to elevate the car. CONSTITUTION: A fixed pulley 9 is supported to a self-supporting tower 10, and a counterweight 14 and a car 1 respectively fixed to both ends of a well- bucket type rope 13 are hung from the fixed pulley 9. A fluid plunger 2 is vertically moved by a fluid from a fluid pressure power unit 4 having fluid pressure piping 5, and the car 1 is elevated by a fluid pressure jack 3. A plunger rope 12 with one end connected to a fixed part such as the floor face and with the other end connected to the car 1 is hung from a plunger pulley 8 supported on the upper part of the fluid plunger 2. With this constitution, most of the load of the car 1 is supported by the self-supporting tower 10, so that the work of the fluid pressure jack 3 is turned to the force of elevating the car 1 so as to make an elevator rapid.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To smoothen the movement of the start and stop of an elevator to the run of it by giving control command values generated by a control command value generating means in a specified procedure to a flow control valve so as to control a pressure between the flow control valve and a hydraulic pump. CONSTITUTION: A start control device 6 receives operation and stop commands from an elevator control device 14. Also it receives detected outputs from an oil temperature sensor 11, a pump side pressure sensor 12, and a jack side pressure sensor 13. Then, based on the detected outputs, control command values are calculated and outputted to a flow control valve 1. By this, the flow control valve 1 moves the flow control valve in closing direction based on a given control command so as to suppress bleed-off to a hydraulic oil tank 3 and raise a hydraulic pressure between a hydraulic pump 2 and the flow control valve 1. The device controls until the hydraulic pressure keeps a balance with a pressure between the flow control valve 1 and a hydraulic jack 5.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deformation of a bulb and thermal deterioration of phosphor coating film by forming a protection layer made of a metallic oxide between the inside surface of the bulb and the phosphor coating film. CONSTITUTION:Bulbs 8, 9 with their inside surfaces coated with a phosphor coating film 12 and made of a soft glass are joined or sealed by the use of glass-based adhesive of joining work temperature of 500-600 deg.C. In this case, a protective layer 20 made of a heat conductive metallic oxide is formed between the inside surfaces of the bulbs 8, 9. Namely, when the glass bulbs 8, 9 are joined or sealed, the heat applied to the end portions of the bulbs 8, 9 is transmitted by the protective layer 20 formed on the inside surfaces of the bulbs 8, 9 by the effect of heat conduction to the other parts of the bulbs 8, 9 to restrict excessive temperature rise at the end portions of the bulbs 8, 9. This arrangement not only prevents the bulbs 8, 9 from thermally deforming but also prevents a phosphor coating film 12 from thermally deteriorating.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of cracks and ruptures at connection sections by locally heating and softening expected connection sections with no protective films to form connection holes and connecting mating connection holes together to form a continuous discharge path. CONSTITUTION:In the method to form a fluorescent lamp with a continuous discharge path by connecting multiple bulbs 1-3, expected connection sections 13, 23, 33 are locally heated and softened with no protective film 4 and blown through to form connection holes, then mating connection holes of the multiple bulbs 1-3 are connected together to form a continuous discharge path. Since no protective film 4 exists at the expected connection sections 13, 23, 33, no metal oxide is infiltrated into the melted glass when it is heated and melted, thus no distortion is generated on the connection sections after the cooling. Ruptures and cracks can be thereby prevented.

SOLUTION: A light emitting means 11 emitting a diffused light is installed in an operating part 4 to register a destination floor, to be set up in an elevator car, and such a device as comprising a light detecting means 14 detecting a light 12 emitted out of this light emitting means 11 and an informative means 15 converting this detection signal into a signal that a visual handicapped person can notice, is made so as to be carried by a user. With this, any elevator user with an impediment in visual sense detects any light to be emitted out of the operating part 4 in the elevator car with his own device carrying, whereby the user easily recognize the place.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the noise caused by the electrostrictive phenomenon of capacitors by connecting in parallel multiple nonlinear capacitors with nearly the same temperature characteristic to a discharge lamp and connecting a resistor with a negative temperature coefficient in series to at least one of the capacitors. CONSTITUTION:One end of mating filament electrodes 13a, 13b of a fluorescent lamp 13 serving as a discharge lamp is connected to an AC power source 11 via a choke coil type stabilizer 12, and the other end is connected to a lighting tube 14. The first nonlinear capacitor 15 is provided in parallel with the electrodes 13a, 13b. The second nonlinear capacitor 16 with nearly the same temperature coefficient as that of the capacitor 15 and with the same resistance magnetic field is connected in series to a negative-characteristic thermistor 17, this serial circuit is connected in parallel with the capacitor 15. The capacitor 16 is not operated due to the high resistance of the low-temperature thermistor 17 at a low temperature particularly at the start time of the discharge lamp, the noise level caused by the emphasized capacitor electrostriction is reduced, and the discharge is stabilized at the wide-range temperature.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to suppress the level of noise generated from a nonlinear capacitor in a short time after lighting of a discharge lamp, down to a low level by arranging a heating means near the nonlinear capacitor. CONSTITUTION:In a discharge lamp lighting apparatus in which, a choke type stabilizer 12 is connected in series to a discharge lamp 13 capacitors 15 and 16 are connected in parallel to the discharge lamp 13 and the discharge lamp 13 is controlled to be lighted by application of pulses thereto at every half cycle of an alternating current power supply, a heating means 17 is arranged near the nonlinear capacitors 15 and 16. The noise level can be lowered, since the nonlinear capacitors are heated by the heating means in this way, so that the temperature of the nonlinear capacitors is increased in a short time after start lighting of the discharge lamp.
