Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize synchronization even when a large time difference exists between an image reproduction time and an audio reproduction time to precisely synchronize an image frame with an audio frame. SOLUTION: A dimax thread 10 separates an image frame 100 having time information TS and image data from an audio frame having audio data. A time counter 18 generates a PCM reproduction time X of the audio frame. Based on a CPU clock time Y as well as the generated PCM reproduction time X, the audio frame is synchronized with the image frame by a video thread 20 to reproduce the image and audio data. Even when a large time difference exists between an image reproduction time and an audio reproduction time, synchronization can be rapidly established from the reproduction time of the audio frame and time information of the image frame. Furthermore, with reference to the CPU clock time Z at the time when referring to time for reproducing the stored audio data and the stored CPU clock time Y, the video thread 20 completes the reproduction timing of the image data.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To realize information transmission at a high speed with high reliability in an optimum state even when sufficient number of spread codes are not used under a permissible condition by providing a specific information division means, a specific coding means and a specific multi-value modulation means or the like to the equipment. CONSTITUTION: An information division section 100 divides input information into m-sets of information. Coding sections 1011-101m correct errors in divided information sets (information series). A mapping multi-value modulation section 102 maps each signal of the coded information series to conduct multi-value modulation and a spread spectrum modulation section 103 applies spread spectrum modulation to the information subject to multi-value modulation and synthesis. Through the constitution above, The information division section 100 selects number of divisions (m) so that the communication quality of the information to be sent is optimum depending on the information transmission speed, the information quantity or number of users in a cell or the like. After coding in an optimum form, the multi-value modulation section 102 maps the information series to a multi-value signal space in matching the division number (m) selected adaptively to conduct multi-value modulation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce rendundancy caused by error correction encoding and to improve frequency utilizing efficiency by continuously encoding voice signals in respective classes by one convolutional encoder and afterwads, puncturing the signals at various thinning rates corresponding to error sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:A voice encoder 2 compresses and encodes a voice signal 8, the signals are divided into two classes corresponding to the error sensitivity, and a digital voice signal 9 having high error sensitivity and a digital voice signal 10 having low error sensitivity are outputted. A switch 3 prepares a signal 11 by synthesizing the signals 9 and 10 and supplies the signal 11 to an error correction encoder 4. At the error correction encoder 4, a tail bit is added to the end of the signal 11 only once, and the signal is convolutionally encoded at the same encoding rate. An output signal 12 of the encoder 4 is supplied to a puncture circuit 5, and prescribed bits are erased according to puncture patterns various for each class. A punctured signal 13 is outputted from an output terminal 7.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract header information in an excellent way even when packets are transmitted through a deteriorated transmission channel thereby reducing number of aborted packets due to inability to read a multiplex table. SOLUTION: A multiplexer section at a transmitter side estimates an information amount from each signal processing section (S1), a multiplexing code is decided based on each information amount (S2), parity of a decided (1st) multiplexing code is taken, the result is used for a 2nd multiplexing code, CRC is added to each multiplexing code respectively to generate two headers H1, H2 (S3), information data of each medium are extracted in matching with the multiplexing code (S4), the data are assembled with a packet in matching with the two headers H1, H2 and the result is outputted (S5). In this case, the receiver side uses the header H2 when the error correction of the H1 is unable, and error correction is conducted with the H1, H2 when the error correction of the H2 is unable, and then unable reading of the multiplexing codes is reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reproduction of an important basic component of information even in a deteriorated transmission environment such as fading environment of transmission from a mobile body. SOLUTION: In the multiplex transmission of multimedia information, a 2nd multiplexer 32 at a transmitter side adds each header only to important basic components of information and multiplexes them, a 1st multiplexer 31 adds each header to data information being the multiplexed output together with other information and multiplexes them to generate a transmission packet. First and second demultiplexers 33, 34 at a receiver side receive each reception packet and the 2nd demultiplexer 34 detects the header added by the 2nd multiplexer 32 even when the 1st demultiplexer 33 cannot detect the header added by the 1st multiplexer 31 to reproduced the input information from the 2nd multiplexer 32 thereby realizing the reproduction of important basic components of the information even in a deteriorated transmission environment such as fading environment of transmission from the mobile body.

CONSTITUTION:The decoder is provided with a bit likelihood calculation means calculating a bit likelihood to each of nXm bits of demodulation signals from a reception signal, a symbol likelihood calculation circuit 25 comparing m-sets of bit likelihoods corresponding to each of n-sets of symbols of a code and outputting a minimum value as the symbol likelihood, and an elimination error correction circuit 27 regarding s-sets (s is a positive integer) in the smaller order of the symbol likelihoods among n-symbols of a demodulation signal as missing symbols and implementing (s-missing and t-error correction) decoding (t is an integer being zero or over). Since the symbol likelihood is set to be minimum value of the m-sets of bit margins, the bit likelihood with least reliability in that of symbols is used for the symbol likelihood as it is, and even when even one bit with lower reliavbility is include, the symbol is used or a missing symbol.
